Ok I know a lot of people are going to disagree with what I say and I know there was a previous thread on this, but I'd like to say this:

Bows help with melle mobs(as far as I've gotten). I'd encourage you to save some arrows and buy a bow. Bows have saved me HP(somethimes double). After lvl20 I found assasin to be discouraging till I started using a bow. Now I always let off 3-4 shots before mob reaches me. I'm sure after lvl29 everything is different so you probably don't need a bow, but until then, try one.

btw, don't use a bow on ranged or mag mobs. You'll die.

    yeah, bow is effective at long range but once your enemy reaches you at close range whats next... run?(somehow enemy you're targeting not yet dead)

    is there a hotkey to quickchange weapon from bow to dagger? if there is please somebody inform me... thanks....

    There's two entire shortcut bars with multiple sections for you to use. They aren't limited to skills. You can put items and they work the same way. Drag both weapons onto the shortcut bar and you can switch easily like that.

    Ohhh
    This is so exciting. I can get at least 3 shots in before anything gets close to me, then finish it with a slipstream strike or something :)

    Bows are making "Knife Throw" a little useless xD...ill prefer to only use daggers.

    I'm finding bows are doing significant damage on casters. I don't need to chase after mobs, and I get several shots in before they get within casting range. My favorite's to spark, getting 3k crits easily with Bow of the Goddess; though we only get 4 chi per shot, it's kinda sucky. Native Vipions are going down crazy fast, they get one, maybe two dots off before they're dropping coins for me.

    Besides, it's a nice change of pace from meleeing; not that I don't like it, but I do get irritated chasing sometimes. With how much dex we're getting just for our natural build, bows are doing just about the same damage as daggers are, except we can do it from range. Perfect for the sin in grind mode!

    I've yet to try it PvP however, as nobody has been dumb enough to hit me since I was 35. =( I'm waiting, though; it'll come!

    Wot is this bow of the goddess? and when/where can i get one?

    I assume it has some uber stat like crit rate +5% or someting?

    Bows are a really nice thing to have. Because of the build assassins have, the Str / dex setup allows for the use of pretty much any / all at-level bows. Hell, I fully intend on getting a TT60 bow for this guy since I can get in those extra hits. Really helps keep my squishy assassin **** alive. xD

    Bow of the Goddess is a reward for the level 46 quest The Believer, in which you kill Suzerix. The turn-in gives you the choice between said bow, and a lame belt.

    The bow in question:
    2* Bow of the Goddess
    305-565 Physical Damage
    38 Maximum Physical Attack
    110 MP
    Required level 45

    Mine came with one socket, but I haven't put anything into it anyway. It's rocking ****; at 49, with 203 dexterity, I'm rocking between 1001-1701 displayed damage (and 12% crit!). To compare, my daggers (level 43 mold) are 1192-1508 displayed damage.

    Not every situation calls for the bow, of course, but the ones there are some where the bow generates a huge benefit to the wielder. Plus, arrows are cheap!

    lol I bowed a barb for the longest everytime he got close I would jump in shadow sprint out and bow again was hilarious

    I was doing fine with only daggers until I killed myself on a snake mob that liked to instant bramble as I finished it off. So yeah I'm wishing I chose the bow and not the belt back then for that quest ><

    Plus it would let me actually help against an aoe boss. I doubt that sins will be first choice on wyvern BHs :P

    bows are definably worth getting. Course don't go crazy, but can't wait for 70s and getting a unicorn for him XD TTbow ftw
    Navarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. Now she's fox walloping and purging over and over again.. all for a deep stinging, head hunting, wind pushing Assassin.
