Soloing Astralwalker 2-2

Im about to hit 90 and I sold my dusts about 2 hours before I found out I needed em b:cry Im planning on soloing (maybe with a 2nd herc veno)
2-2 squad/med mode. So I dont have to pay for subs hehe.

Does any1 have experience with soloing astral? is there a way to attract none or just one of the minions?

    On my first TT2-2 Squad, I went with a Lvl81 herc veno. She soloed Astral with no probs and didnt need my 2nd heal. Everyone (rangers) stand on the rail or one of the big blocks then attk from there. A lvl100 cleric BB when the minions were out and got thier aggro but they cant attk her bc she was on the block.
    Sorry if this is confusin lol but thats wat we did and worked nicely

    i'm pretty sure no subs = no astral

    Taking Astral is actually fairly easy and can be done with just a veno (herc) and wizard. Simply summon the herc before you run the chain. Put the wizard as high up the chain as possible and set it to heal. The veno should be as high as possible, as well. Don't bother to bramble the herc, but use the other buffs. After that, you just wait for Astral to get close enough to aggro. Then, you wait. When Astral summons his first minion, it will likely not aggro. The second set MAY aggro, but not likely. The third set will definitely aggro. When that happens, the wizard must constantly heal the veno.

    This is why....The minions will aggro to the herc. Since he isn't returning damage, they will aggro to the veno. Since the wizard is healing, they will aggro to the wizard. If you listened to me and put him as high as possible on the chain, they will go yellow and run off. It will happen a lot. At lvl 88, my wife and I were able to take him, no problems. And she's LA. XD

    When that happens, the wizard must constantly heal the veno.

    Why? If they're far enough up the chain it won't matter. The agro will reset from the veno anyway. No reason for the Wiz to waste his/her time casting a heal skill when they can continue to DD.

    The Veno can't be up the chain or they'll be too far to heal the Herc or the Herc may just decide to unsummon. Plus, the adds are ranged so the only way for the Veno to lose aggro is if someone is healing her.

    I just went to the far left side, set herc on stay right at the edge of the pillar, waited for astral to aggro by moving (takes a bit of waiting) and let my tubby start wailing on him.

    Ran up the chain to max heal dist and spammed away heal for about 30 min. With bramble off, even with all three of the last spawns throwing a tantrum their broken up attacks and astral's don't do enough to out DD an arcane heal.

    Set herc on hold and go chain. It wont unsummon and u will be out of minion range so they will constantly reset (no explodingb:victory)

    i can go far on the rope and no minions can hit me and still able to heal pet

    anyway, the most important thing is... do not ever use bramble on herc
    and to go up just set your herc on halt and go up, use heal... go more to test range... heal again till you find max range

    and another thing is... only high mode spawn astral

    Well as far as I can tell and from my exp with HH so far, I think it is more safe to have a squad with u. If the mobs pop up, the herc cant handle all of them at once and by healing the herc, the mobs would atk the person who is healing.
