Essential Sutra in macro - need feedback ||| also DB shortened range
Hello all!
Some time ago (at lvl59) when I first got my Essential Sutra, I've put it into my macro: Essential Sutra > Divinepyrogram > Sandstorm > Stone rain, as it would be the best option. So I've tried it several times in duel, on mobs and in pk, but whenever I executed that macro Sutra launched and..... and that's all, no skill's followed after it. I thought it was a bug or something like that, so I left it till few days ago. When I tried to do it the same way it still didn't work, of course when I use two macros: 1. Undine Strike > Essential Sutra and 2. Divinepyrogram > Sandstorm > Stone rain it works perfectly, but the issue is I need to use two macro's, now one.
(I have all 3 sparks & mp needed for that; tested it with a GM after a ticket submit, and they told me to make a topic here)
So have any one of you (wizards) tested it? Has it worked? If yes then write it here, if no write it too. That's very important, as it may be a bug or it may be made like that. Either way I think it would be great if we could put Essentail Sutra into our macro's, which would help us sometimes b:victory
Concerning Dragon's Breath range.
When Tideborn expension came out, I've noticed that on DB description I have 6 meters, instead of normal 12 meteres. I've spoke with a GM about that too, and he told me to wait one week, as it was made by dev's. I have tested if it's true about those 6 meters, and back then (untill this update) range was sometimes 12 meters and sometimes 6 meters.
I've tested it today and I can confirm that it's 6 meters now for sure (no aggro trigger at usual 12 meters range, also no dmg on mobs in 12 meters radius as it was normally). Could other wizards give feedback about it too?
Also we would like to know official statement about this issue from GM's, why was it done without any notice, will it be permament, if yes then will we get any other bonus(es) on spell or spells in exchange (like archer's BoA still has 12 meters radius)?
Thank you all for reading and I'm waiting for your feedback and suggections concerning those two issues!b:bye

Sutra doesn't work in a macro & never has.
Apparently DB visual is 6m but actual effect is 12m.0 -
Make a combo of the skills, then use sutra and click the macro. Thats how I used the 4 Spark combo with an ult, works like a charm.
Putting ES inside the macro wont work; maybe they can fix that in the future, along with several other bugs.0 -
meh me just manually shoot off me sutra combos.
b:chucklehemoglobin: idk how the hell you can turn the word burrito into something sexual. perversion at its finest

Yes I know, and I'm using either 2 macros or sutra and macro; but wouldn't it be sweet to be able to put sutra into macro and just press 1 button? I mean, it could save our butts sometimes, wouldn't it?
DB - strange, I was as usual in 12m range from mob (as before) and it wouldn't aggro nor hit the mob/s in 12m range from me.
Either way, why did dev's even changed description, if (as mentioned above) range hasn't changed?
It would be great if more people would reply, including a GM with their reply to that problem.
Thank you0 -

Sutra Heal macro. /drewlllll0 -
Yes, I know about it.
But I made this topic after few e-mails with a GM. Apparently they (GM's) thought that Sutra works normally in macro (as any other skill), and were kinda suprised that it doesn't. So I was told to make a topic with other wizards feedback on that matter. I think that with enough "voices" to change it, we could get sutra working in macros.
Remember, that GM's also care about our opinion, ideas and thoughts, so it's good to tell them what we would like to see in game, what bother us, etc, they don't bite b:victory0 -

And if you get a bunch of CS wh0res spamming them, well that fix is going to happen that much faster.0 -
heh, yeah, that always makes things easier0

Make Sutra work in a macro please!!0 -
i was never a fan of any macro combination in this game, because mob can cancel wizard skill casting= means the whole macro stops, same in pvp
EVen when mob dosent cancel it, tried to make gush-pyrogram-gush-pyrogram-gush macro, and it failed after 3 succesful casting.
If i would use sutra in macros, now i propably just waste it coz macros dosent seem to work for me. WOuld be really good if they would work..b:surrender0 -
ES never worked in a macro. I also do manual ES runs instead of macro's because i never know what target i want to hit.I'm famous! i'm on ecatomb0

Sutra in macro would be AWESOME!!! I often use sutra and then makro, but nothing happend. So you have to always wait till animation of sutra is done and then click to macro. It's waste of time and need good timing.b:angry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Having the Essential Sutra work in a marco could be nail in everybody else's coffin. Please Devs can you try get that fixed for the thousands of wizzie's out in PW land.
Thanks merry Christmas0 -
If you need to actually use a macro to make use of Sutra then you fail.0

Got to love constructive comments. b:laugh
I fail....so Sutra for macros please.0 -
I think it's fine the way it is because, there arent many situations 1v1 were you have 6 seconds to stand still and do a couple skills before you get stunned, slept, seal w/e, sutra out of macro is much more flexible and i have no problem using sutra without marco, its usually 4-5 spells depending on timing.0

If you don't want to use sutra in macro, you don't have to. But we should have this option for us, who wants to use it in macro.b:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
ES in a macro means you can't change targets lawl...RIP Resolve. You guys still owe me TW pay. XD
Varden- you all!0 -

Gush and Pyrogram both have 3 second cooldowns. Gush has 1 second channeling and 1 second casting time. Pyrogram has 1.2 seconds channeling and 0.8 seconds casting time.
Channeling time is the time before your spell goes off.
Casting time is the time after your spell goes off before you can do anything else.
Cooldown is the time after your spell goes off before you can start channeling it again.
Macros stop when you try and activate a skill which has not cooled off.
So Pyrogram, Gush, Pyrogram waits 2.8 seconds after your first pyrogram goes off and then tries to start a second pyrogram. But you can not do so for another 0.2 seconds.
While I am on this subject: when a monster interrupts you (unless it also incapacitates you with something like stun or seal), your macro does not automatically get cancelled. Instead, you use the next skill ifrom your macro.
You right. I has similar problem at beginning. I didn't understand, why is combo not working. b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
regarding the cooldown for pyro - gush - pyro you can get it to work if you leave a space after the gush... same thing if u want a morning dew macro to charge chi.. dew-blank-dew-blank etc... try putting a blank space (or two if needed) between the es and next spell0

With regards to DB, I can confirm the damage radius is smaller now. mobs further from the animation doesn't get hit.
Seems like 6 meters is the new range. b:sad0 -

In FF I didn't have this problem. Damage was far away from animation.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
