Herc Question

So lately I have been seeing a lot people that have Hercs lately. I started wondering. At what Lv do people usually starting getting SoF?
Don't stare at me like that, I just might like it.

    There's no particular level to start lol. It's better to get one as soon as you can so it won't take so long to level up, but it won't affect your ability to play if you wait. I'd say just keep buying them gradually as you play whenever you've got the spare coin - it's easier than trying to get them all at once unless you've got $200 to spend.

    pro tip: dont carry millions of coins around with you. Put unused coin in the bank (no, you dont get interest) but, it does keep you from spending it all.

    I started collecting/buying the actual SoF at around lvl 75. However, I "saved" since level 65-75 maybe.

    Lol, buy and sell the SoF. You already are keeping an eye on the market for them, so why not?

    You'd prefer to waste coin on the AH? The shops do people a favor by offering fast coin for those who happen to have excess SoF/PF. Ever seen that ultra rare item in the AH or Catshop that you needed just so much more for but didn't have liquid coin? Store space has value. Both buyer and seller wins, so what's the problem?

    I don't know herc is probably ulra mega uber imba leet pet but it is so FUGLY i'm never getting it >_< I like the phoenix but it can't be used in instances so bleh..

    seriously your going to get one of the best pets just because you think its ugly. i don't have one but i'm saving for one because ur when u get higher in level its nice for the squad to have a back up if ur doing TT runs. If u want a good dd pet that can go underground then the vericose scorpion is a fair substitute. oh wait your obsesses with looks so maybe not!!!!!

    I got my herc at lvl 42.
    I logged on on Octover 4th, sent out a tele saying "WTB ALL your SoF and Nix. pm me now! :D"
    And at the end of the day i had 9999/9999
    Very productive day if i do say so myself b:pleased
    He is quite ugly, but I enjoy tanking everything. And barbs and clerics enjoy not having to do it :)
    Most venos i meet have been saving sof and nix for months, and will still be saving months from now.
    But good luck to those getting one :D

    I dont buy from the AH either. I save up my money, buy gold, and then get the packs. this saves the time of hunting for the sofs and feathers in game. and it also saves my computer from crashing in over crowded areas, like west dis, where most ppl are selling stuff at

    It doesn't cost $200 more like $125 or 150 depending on if there is sale on battle pets.It is best to wait when there is sale on them.It doesn't take long to lvl unlike other pets.

    That is the average but don't forget you get PF with it to so you trade those in to the pet manager for Sof which makes it cheaper.Herc will lvl faster as you can throw more mob its way as well as take him where mobs are 15 lvls higher than him.when I lvled mine it lvled faster than any other pet I lvled and it is the same lvl as my Veno.

    Thats about what? $180 with the bonus zen offer and the 300 bonus zen.
    192 gold x 400k per gold / 9999 SoF or PF = 8256coins per Pf.


    Sale (40% off):
    9999 SoF or PF / 26 average per pack / (10/3) = 115 gold
    Which translate to about $100 after $15bonus and 300 bonus zen?
    115 gold x 400k per gold / 9999 SoF = 4600coins per Pf.

    (gold is probably not 400k at the time of pack sales)

    Now you know when to buy sof/gold/etc...
