So equipping an arrow with crit plus gives crit?

I was surprised to see that when I equip an arrow with crit +1% in pwcalc it seems to give critical bonus even with melee weapons. Is it true ingame or not? Sounds too weird for me.
100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

    Crit arrows ONLY work when in use.

    They do not work if you are using a meele weapon, although it will put it on your character page/stats, but it doesn't actually increase crit rate.

    And to be honest Crit + Evade + Accuracy doesn't even work in this game XD

    I have crit arrow equipped too, as a veno. When i equip it i have 4% rate when i put it down i have 3%....
    So dont say it not works... b:bye

    I bought a whole bunch of +dex equips so I could equip a higher level +crit arrow for the bonus +patk. According to the calculator it wouldn't work so I never did try it. b:sad

    u have arcane set and 2x misty rings so ur opinions are like noone care :P

    So ALL the equipments and blessing dominance not working too... Cause it applies the bonuses too on stat window...

    I have it too on every of my Chars, works or not, at least it gives me Eye-Candy everytime I press C b:dirty

    So even though it shows increase in your character info, It does not actually do anything? This makes no sense. Also, how do you get data on whether it does work or not? LOL

    Extensive testing has been done about this. The general concensus is that it does not work with anything except a bow, even if it does show in your character info screen.

    Furthermore, a GM said at one point that if it did work without one, it would be bannable since it would be considered an exploit. And no, I won't go out of my way to search for the post, you have a search button up there for a reason.

    It does not work if you're not actually firing an arrow. It is not a bannable offence as it clearly does nothing (stated by GM). Also, it was stated by a GM (Kanto iirc) that it only works when you fire the arrow. It does NOT work when it just sits equipped.

    can not vouch for evade and accuracy but critical DOES work

    I've tried this on a BM, Veno, Cleric, and an Assassin. The +1% crit only takes effect when actually using the arrow (Shooting things with a bow)
