Pets for all sitations help

Okie dokie, so I've read and researched alot on many battle pets and still clearing up the last few issues I'm running into and I would like it if you could help :)

This is how my slot's are going or will be sometime sooner or later:
1.)Pigsly Pigsworth (Mount)
2.)Varicose Scorpion (Attacker and first pet sentimental value)
3.)Glacial Walker (Def Tank)
4.)Frogling or Antelop Pup? (Magic Tank)
5.)Shadou Cub or Windwalking Piggy? (Tank for both attackers)

6.)Ancient Boa (Mount)
7.)Goldenwing Emperor (Gift) or Windwalking Piggy?
8.)Saint Lake's Turtle (Gift)
9.)Eldergoth Marksman or Kowlin or more? (As a Puller)
10.)Huggy Hare Pet (Open for ideas)

If I get the Windwalking Piggy, then that should clear up a space so any mroe suggestions for that new one? I'm looking for advice that would help me with my flaws. Thanks :)

    Well the main pets would have to be sorted in to basically 5 categories:

    1. PVE pet or def pet (magmite or glacial wlaker
    2. PVP pet (Pettie Sawfly or seamonster Guardian)
    3. Flying pet (pettie sawfly or nix)
    4. water pet (any upine)
    5. Pulling (pup or kowlin or marksman)

    Allow me to offer some of my recommendations.

    Land pets: It's beneficial to keep several land pets, and your choices all look solid. Varicose Scorpion is a very good pet for damage output, And the Glacial Walker is excellent at absorbing physical damage. A magic tank is largely unnecessary, as most monsters mix physical attacks with magic. The rather sub-par physical defense of "magic tanks" becomes a problem. Besides, Glacial Walkers are more than capable of surviving the occasional magic hit. For pulling (and magic tanking) an Eldergoth Marksman is the way to go. Being ranged gives it the advantage of avoiding melee on mixed magic/melee monsters.

    Air pets: There isn't as much variety among air pets as land pets, making the choice of an air pet rather difficult. If you want a high damage pet at the cost of defense, get a Petite Sawfly, Goldenwing Emperor, or the new Cloud Skatefish. If you want high defense at the cost of damage, your only real option is the Windwalking Piggy. If you're looking for both high damage and defense, you won't find it in any other air pet besides the Baby Blazing Phoenix. All other tamable air pets seem to have below average stats in all areas, but any air pet is sufficient to kill any flying monster you may encounter (except for a few bosses, most notably, Jewelscalen).

    Water pets: Water pets are largely unnecessary, unless you enjoy participating in the Dragon Temple event, or prefer to grind on underwater monsters. So, you can simply tame a water pet near your level every time you receive an underwater quest, then retire it when you are finished. If you are interested in the Dragon Temple, I would recommend taming either a Death Dancer (if you are there for the open pk) or a Celestial Plumpfish (if you want to kill/distract monsters to get at chests). I don't have any info on the new water pets, but despite the underwater "theme" of this expansion, there were extremely few water pets added (only one that I currently know of).

    I've actually found a use for a magic tanker. While digging in the second part of 95+ public quest, you can have the pet grab aggro then just recall while you dig. I wouldn't level one up just for that though, and for the work you'd put into doing that: you may as well earn a Herc for it. A marksman can hit back while taking the mag hits only.

    What about grind / debuff pets like Lunar Lupin?

    I feel like after reading through everyone's advice that I'm just going to have to get over it and pick some pets cause there was only two things I learned in all that information :P

    I guess there's just too many to choose from!

    But I do have something bothering me...as far as the monster's with magic and physical attacks, would I be better off with a Windwalking Piggy or Shadou Cub? I've read a lot saying Cub but the Piggy's stats seems to be the better tank. What am I missing?

    Piggy is an air pet and you're going to be jumping like an idiot if you use it for a land tank. You won't be able use it in dungeons at all.

    I sometimes fight with my Goldenwing Emperor on the ground so guess that is why that never came to mind O_o but I have a feeling I will be in dungeons alot someday :P so I guess a cute baby cub is for me :P thanks.

    I'm level 96 and never had a temptation to get a pig other than for it's cuteness. I don't think there's any need for such a high def air pet.

    I think I may need one though :P I even made a friend cause we got sick of this one air monster killing us over and over so we teamed on them >:D but my wasp monster will do. I just thought I could tank with the pig like I could with the cub, that's all.

    Strictly from a non-cash shop pet perspective ( I don't think I will ever have a nix or a herc) and mostly non-rare pet

    I love the antelope pup for pulling. It's quick and has some nice opening moves. I like it better than say a snow hare. (I like my kitty on the MY server better but I can't afford it on the the INT version) ... :(

    After getting a Glacial Walker I still prefer the Magmite. It could be because the GW is so much lower level than I am on my veno, but I get agro from the GW more often than not and don't know if I want to continue to try to level it.

    Water: I'm still using one of those Tortoises from way back - I can't remember which one it is, Riptide maybe ... it's slow but I keep leveling it so it's pretty awesome.

    Air: I switched up from the sawfly to a Foxwing. Got it maybe around lvl 30. It didn't seem to get stuck (in the ground) as bad as the sawfly.

    Oddly I still plan on taming a frost antelope. :) Yes, I want a pink pet ( to go with my pink fairy)

    You play alot differently from me. Those Foxwing pets remind me of a Dr. Suess creation.b:chuckle
    It also seems impossible to find a price on a Shadou Cub on the HT server :P No one will speak back on World chat and tons of Whispering gets me no where hahah.
