Patcher freezes my computer.

Okay so here's the deal. I run the patcher, it works fine and all (it's fully updated as well.) The only problem I get is when I click the "Start" button to play the game. My firewall says something along the lines of this.

"Audiodg.exe
-has executed
Werfaultsecure.exe"

Then my computer freezes. It's not my firewall or my anti-virus software doing this. I have gotten the game to work earlier today after I updated. I've tried closing the anti-virus and firewall and running the game and it still freezes.

My anti-virus and firewall programs are Avast! Anti-virus and COMODO Firewall.

You probably should've posted your internet speed. That's also important. Can help if you post that.

    according to http://www.bandwidthplace.com/

I am trying to troubleshoot the problem myself as well. Will post a reply if I figure it out on my own.

Update: I was running in compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 3. I changed it to Windows 7 and ran as administer whcih enabled the Element client to window to appear then instantly freeze before anything was able to appear.

Update v2: I disabled run as administer and it loaded. I am still fearful this will happen again though, it did before the update and I did the same method and nothing happened. Any insight with this problem is STILL greatly appreciated. As I am unsure of why it was able to work previously and not now. Thank you.

Any GMs care to shed some light on this for me? Or am I stuck here trouble shooting this by myself and pulling my hair out..

Update: It seems that the problem as actually gotten worse. Every time the patcher is loaded for over 20 seconds (wether trying to update or just sitting idle) the computer freezes now, I have tried reinstalling in multiple locations and every compatibility mode. I don't think there is anything else left I can do. And yes I've verified the files multiple times to make sure they aren't in fault.

Update V2: Running the patcher in safe mode causes it to not freeze and update properly. Will not launch the game however. I tried the other MMOs I have installed on the computer and they work perfectly.

Still no help? I've submitted a ticket as well. I really wanna get back to this game guys! Is it me or is it just weird that no one has posted anything helpful? My Computer has frozen almost 50 times trying to get this to work! The problem is only getting worse. I think it has something to do with connecting to the actual server now. I have no idea why this would be an issue though, it worked a few days ago. Again I can fully connect and update in safe mode. However it won't start the element client in safe mode. It give a weird error message in a language that shouldn't be understandable by anyone. Thanks for the help if there is any.

Well it seems I am having that same problem that you are having and from the looks of it, about the same computer. But ya, I am not able to figure out why I go to other sites and everything is peachy and PW is all messed up.

Yeah i'm still lost. ALL my drivers and firmware is up to date. I don't see a problem on how it's connecting. It seems hit or miss with how sporadic the element client has become.
