Calamity - Plain of Farewell - Equinox (8:03 PM)
Reverence - Windswept Grasslands - Equinox (8:06 PM)
Vanquish - Shattered Cloud Island - NPC (8:09 PM)
Saturday (19/12)
Tempest - The Harshlands - Calamity (8:00 PM)
Equinox - One Thousand Streams - Calamity (8:03 PM)
Renegades - Southern Stronghold - Calamity (8:06 PM)
ShangriLa - Black Mountain - Dynasty (8:09 PM)
HDT - Dreaming Cloud - Dynasty (8:12 PM)
DraGonS - Forest of Haze - Kindrid (8:15)
XBushidoX - Island of Dreams - NPC (8:18 PM)
Sunday (20/12)
none.
BREAKDOWN :
On Friday was the first attack on the new Tideborn lands - Vanquish took Island of Dreams in 40 minutes (?); congratulations Vanquish~! Equinox, with their three way defense, fended off Reverence and Valour in under an hour and took all their forces to defend against Calamity - the red faction's attack failed yet again when Equinox took down their crystal in 2 hours and 53 minutes, successfully managing to keep their land! Congratulations Equinox!
On Saturday, Calamity had 2 defenses and 1 offense - both defenses against Tempest and Renegades took at a time of 10 minutes (?) and their defenses against Equinox, charging in with 8 catapults, fell in 2 hours and 20 minutes (?), securing One Thousand Stream City, their apothecary, and their WQ point! Congratulations to Equinox yet again, and don't give up Calamity!
ShangriLa and HDT attacked Dynasty - HDT and Dynasty had a full out, fun 3 hour TW with Dynasty winning be default - and I'd like a time on ShangriLa if possible, please. Great job defending, Dynasty!
DraGonS attacked Kindrid this weekend, intent on taking that lone, stray land amidst the yellow and red. The time is unknown to me for how long Kindrid defended, keeping Forest of Haze to themselves, but great job Kindrid!
XBushidoX attacked the 2nd PvE Tideborn land, again, taking it in a time currently unknown to me - congratulations to Bushido! From the words of their leader: "We took the tideborn city in 10 min 43 seconds! IT was awesome! We went up Paths A and C. While 3 Squads flew over the city and Took care of mobs inside and the boss. Then we steamrolled all of us down The Middle path to Victory!"
RUMOURS/BEHIND THE SCENES:
First off, sorry for the lack of info in this report - I've been away for most of the weekend, and have been unable to TW the whole time/at all. Also, it looks like Kardie will be moving on to Raging Tides server, so looks like you're stuck with me... boo hoo. ;P Unless I get bored with this Venomancer and move too...hmmm~
The most interesting piece of news to happen this weekend is Equinox overpowering Calamity's forces and taking down their land of One Thousand Streams - is Calamity finally losing its edges? Or will there be constant land trading between these two factions in the future?
Also, after HDT's decision to lose their land to Kindrid for a chance at those new Tideborn lands seemed to have vanished once they hoisted their attack on Dynasty - while this TW was fun, this faction wasn't able to get past Dynasty's defenses. What does this mean for the future tactics of their leader - will they be challenging Dynasty, Vanquish, or Bushido sometime in the future - or will they be staying out and building up their strength to try and do get into it again?
Current TW Breakdown:
Calamity : 36
Equinox : 5
Dynasty : 2
Kindrid : 1
Vanquish : 1
XBushidoX : 1
*No personal insult is meant to go out to anyone now, or in any future reports. Names will not be mentioned with the exception of officers.*

Hope to see you all next weekend.

RIP Calamity - October 30th / 20100 -
b:shocked
Tonight... is going to be fun.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
HOLY ****, MY LOWBIE **** ACTUALLY KILLED A COUPLE OF PEOPLE.
That said, thanks for a fun TW, Calamity, and thanks for leaving half my platinum charm left over...now if only I hadn't forgotten stamina for my genie, I might have actually survived TLN and your wizzies every once in a while. The 4.7k HP probably doesn't help with that...0 -
OKAY, can I say I am soooo excited for tomorrow? And the next couple of weeks for our guild? Woooot!! Grats on those who TW'ed today.
love,

HDT vs Dynasty = 3hr long Stalemate up to the point where we pretty much stopped fighting b:shocked.0

I sooo loved this weeks TW, tnx for the great fight dynasty (from HDT)
Though obviusly, it would have been better if we'd won b:chuckle9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -
i had a BLAST in TW today and so did the rest of the fac...
we were getting tired of going back factions that we no challenge.
Today we definately got to test ourselves.. and I feel like we did a great job!
Thanx again, Dynasty!!! and Sieg, I still hate you xD0 -
EQ outgears and outlevels Calamity at this moment ( don't look only at top 50, half of the ones there don't count in TW against EQ - i won't go into details) and most of the Calamity high lvls don't go in TW anymore. EQ did a great job lvling and gearing their DDs one thing that Calamity overlooked (nice job there, you know who) and that makes all the difference in the world now.
With a shaky and "I don't really care" kind of leadership Calamity had for a while, the current status was just a question of "when" not "if". The current leadership can and tries hardly to change things, but that's a "mission impossible" kind of thing. I wish them all the good luck in the world.
With 1k in EQ hands, and missing about 15 to 17 well geared 95+ DDs (about 5 archers and 10 wizards) Calamity has no chance to stop Equinox. Not this week, not next week, not 3 weeks from now.
Calamity can rebound , they still have the chance and the income from TW pay to do it. But for that Calamity needs a total revamp. If they do it they will match Equinox, if not the map will be pink.
PS: I'm no longer in Calamity, so whatever I said is my insight info from this morning when I left.____________

How did calamity end up like this? What happened?
Me confused.retired from pwi b:cry0 -
what happened? A series of events during a couple of months that lead to the current sittuation. It's not one thing to point at, it's a sum of little things and facts that in the end erodated the very foundation of Calamity. Who's to blame? A lot of blame can be put on the shoulders of a few ppl, but the rest of it is on the shoulders of each present and ex-Calamity member.
Don't underestimate Calamity however. They might get a beating now from Equinox, but they can 6 minute steam roll over any other faction on Dreamweaver in any TW any day.____________

Even against Dynasty, or Bushido?
Let's remember that the fight against Bushido took 11 minutes and Dynasty propably still is bit stronger than us.
Just saying that there are other factions aside EQ that are building strength fast as well Ursa.0 -
Even. I was against Bushido a week ago I think. We came with Catas from another war if I remember, so yeah, took 11 minutes but we didn't have the Cata teams in the war from beginning.
Dunno about Dynasty, but I could bet there isn't a big diff there.
Yeah, other factions are building strength fast, but there is a looooooong way until any of them can match Calamity or Equinox. Those 2 were always in a different league and they don't just sit and wait for others to catch up.____________

hello im Director of HDT
I would like to say Dynasty did a great job defending their base for 3 hours this is by far the best tw that HDT has seen in a long time since arma.
We are growing stronger and working our way up.. Cant wait to cya on the battlefield next week to see how it brings Thanks Dynasty for the great fight.0 -

You seem to forget a faction. This weeks war has proven that HDT is at the same power or a even alitle bit stronger than Dynasty.
Not sure about the power of bushido, it's been some time since I saw them fight9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm not crazy... the 10th is singing the music of tetris0 -
I wouldn,t say the same power i could even say Dynasty had a bit more higher levels than us but i can say we were prepaired planned and organized. That is what gave us the advantage a bit.0

Now excuse me while I oil the bearings on this squeaky revolving door....
my true friends in Calamity are in the same amount now as my true friends in Equinox. It might be sad to say that after 9 months spent in there, but I enjoyed the most part of it, did some awsome stuff and was part of a awesome group for a while. Actually, thinking of how many of Calamity went to EQ in the last month or so, it's kinda'....normal.
I'm not going to go back to Calamity any time soon. I didn't took a split moment decision, it wasn't based on a 1-time thing that happened, it wasn't a rage quit.
I have some friends in Dynasty, Some in Bushido, some in a few smaller factions on this server.
At this point I haven't considered joining any other guild, because I want to cool down and see where I want to be in the future. What I know is that I'm looking forward and will step in that direction. Yeah, I'm missing the sense of being part of a comunity, I'm missing the blue chat in the chat window, I'm missing a lot of ppl I can't just press G and whisper a "hello" to when I get on-line, or shout a "g'morning" or a "g'night". Because of these things and a few other, I will consider joining another faction in the near future. What faction will that be? One thing is for sure: Not Calamity. Not as long as "Calamity is not a TW faction" to quote someone. Not as long as many many things that made me leave will still stay the same as they are now. I will choose carefully and I hope the faction that I'll set my mind on will be kind enough to accept me in their ranks. I'm a loyal person above all, but the ppl that gained my loyalty are not in Calamity anymore. Not in a number that counts anyway.
So yeah, you can take that revolver door and oil it pretty good, otherwise it'll be really hard to shove it up ...
LE:
BTW, my time in Calamity:
join date march - lvl 28 - quit date December lvl 96
During that time I contributed to the growth of Calamity, while you were doing what? playing Supaplex or Mario?
And even now I don't need to hide behind a nickname, I speak what I mean and I mean what I speak.
Enjoy the TW pay as long as it lasts, I'll grab a popcorn and a beer and watch the leeches fight over it. As long as it lasts, of course.____________

The defending faction has the option to turtle for 3 hours or beat the attacker. Dynasty damaged HDT's crystal, HDT did not damage Dynasty's crystal at least any amount that is noticeable. Truth be told we underestimated you. And had no real complicated planning in place to beat you. But we defended against you for 20 minutes at the start without our full forces and you probably outnumbered us then. So, no you can't claim to be stronger than us...sorry but you'll have to win to do that.
Also, you guys turtled more than we did.0 -
now that you want to say that during the rush OTS and i pulld 2 catapults into your base and got your crystal down 5% so dont start the trash talk no one is saying your a better or worse faction. Its just came down to it you never penetrated our base excepte a few suicidel runs towards the end.
The fight was a stalemate which kept going back and forth kindove like barbs pking at the same level same armor and same gear.
Dont get me rong your a great faction and had a hell of a run. Good luck and rember TW is for fun.0 -
I am the leader of HDT and there is no reason to be upset about the Dynasty battle it was a fun battle that held out for 3 hours. We were on even ground with Dynastys full power this last TW at times it was rough. The thing you guys don't see it doesn't matter we had 67 people in TW if even but that doesn't matter TW is for fun not drama we don't need **** talking, no one does. I mean there are alot of things this TW brought out. Yes we had the upper hand and took out 2 towers in the beginning while Dynasty was fending off ShangriLa after that we barely made it in the base but that's not because of Dynasty's "shear power" it's because HDT is stll warming up we havent had a real TW like that since fighting Arma I found it more fun actually. well that it all from the HDT leader. Check out TW next time =P0

Not sure about the power of bushido, it's been some time since I saw them fight
I left HDT out on purpose, but not as disrespect, or to try and insult. I left HDT out because I have no idea how the TW's this weekend went, since I'm unable to play right now. Another reason is that I have no idea how strong HDT even is, but reading these I get the impression that Dynasty, Bushid and HDT are very close to each other. Dynasty perhaps pipping the other 2. I left HDT out because I don't want to sware over names I have no knowledge over.
I've had the honour to fight against HDT only once and we lost, however it was a rather bad time for us and our strength back then in no way indicates our strength today. I loved hearing the HDT leader in our vent after the TW and talk with such dignified tone about us. I have a huge deal of respect for HDT due to that.
I truly enjoyed our battle against HDT that day and I hope to face them again in TW sometime soon.
By the way, I am a proud member for Bushido, just in case you were wondering. b:pleased
@Ursa, Excuses are excuses and matter only little, if even that much. The fact is that the smaller factions are gaining on the giants. With enough time there might be more factions fighting for the top title than just 2. Me, myself can't wait for that to happen.0 -
Everything that Ursa is pointing out is something that Equinox has gone through at one point or another (even the "faction is not a TW faction" quote, eerily). That Equinox has survived given this and the months of getting our asses handed to us by Calamity only speaks to our strength; however, such things clearly did not end us, and it would be foolish for anyone in Equinox to think that Calamity has all of the sudden become easy prey. If we could and did survive it, so can Calamity.
As for the high levels not all showing up, well, that's too bad, but it's also something that every faction deals with, including Equinox, and it's something you have to take into account when planning your strategy. Levels are good for steamrolling opponents (as evidenced by how god-awfully hard your 9x squishies are to kill for an 80 BM like me); a well-organized group with 8x and low 9x will still win with superior tactics and communication so long as they're not still running around in unrefined, unsharded tt70 gear.0 -

I don't want to be cocky or anything, but me , a "squishie" by all definitions, if a <90 class is attacking me in TW the 300-400 dmg done is not something that's puts me off the track. And, honestly, unless is a high HP barb, every other class is pretty much 1 shot to a undined/poison + SS, without crit.
I have SS with over 9k crits with SR on full buffed BMs, 6-7k crits on full buffed Archers with the same SR. My gush/pyro crits hit a LA in the 80s for more than 4k with undine.
You think you matter in TW? Attack Calamity or Equinox next week, see how life is on another planet. You have land now because Calamity and Equinox decided not to bother with the south of the map.
LE: MY first TW against mobs was at lvl 25. When I joined Calamity I was lvl 26 and the highest lvl was 35 or 38 or so. That was the cast Calamity had to take lands from NPC. And as Calamity was Dominion, Elysium and other factions that died in the mean time. Those were the ones that fought and planned TW for hours for each mob on a path, for each tank, DD, cleric where to go and what to do. All the mobs in TW were red named cause they were at least 25-40 lvls above us. That's where Calamity , Equinox, Armagedon and other factions build their skills. U think now that because u got a NPC land when you're 80 you can match those seasoned factions or even come close to that? You're so naive....____________

Emhem, Ursa..
I'm sorry to disappoint you but Phoenix is in Equinox and he fought Calamity this past week has so did i.
If you still think that levels win Tw's, well i have to say you're mistaken, it helps, but that is not the important part. When you speak off one shooting someone, that is where you miss it all the purpose of strategy, communication and will of power to WIN. Yes you can one shot me, but you'll need to have me targeted, something i will not give you the pleasure to do. ( And if i do give you that pleasure is to keep you busy while 5 of us bring you down). Having skills, being 90+ or 100 and not knowing what to do with it.. well i call it oracles. One to one or one shooting someone is one thing, TW is something completely different.
You can say what you wish about cash players in Equinox and that is why we win, well... i'll just call it "don't listening to the words that comes out of our mouths". I call it hard work and many, many hours preparing each fight. If there's cash players in EQ? Absolutely!! Are there cash players in Calamaty? Absolutely!! THEY ARE IN EVERY FACTION!!
I can surely say that every single member in Equinox is my friend just by having Equinox on top of his name.. Can anyone say it about their own faction?
Ursa, i've been enjoying your post so far and you seem a correct person that know what she's talking about. But please don't underestimate a couple of things.. Teamwork, Strategy, Work, Communication and Friendship.
Levels and gear are in the middle...
*Please take note i'm not trying to offend anyone.. If i did i apologize for it.0 -
