Dimminishing drop rate?

What's the minimum level difference that you can stay and still get optimum drop rate?
So let say the mob is lvl 21 and i'm 30 will i still get drops or just lower chance?

    If i remember correctly, its upto 2 levels lower than the mob to get the best drop rate. After that it decreases.

    However if you ask me the optimum drop rate, I would say -1 to 4 levels of the mob. Although the rate decreases from 100% to 90% of the drop rate, you would be able to kill the mob with least effort and hence you can hunt more of them in the same duration.

    I believe that as long as the mob's name is still white to you, the drop rate should be fine.
