Hello,

I have a question about the Element Client application, which keeps crashing here...
I had this issue on Win XP Prof/Vista Home Premium/Windows 7 Professional.
The crash happend on everyone first Element Client application startup which auto-shutsdown every minute.
It starting to annoy me, during questing or during a chat.
I don't know if others has the same issue like i have?
No crash reports through, just a auto-shutdown.
I wonder if the PWI staff is able fix this?
I do remember i got several Error reports in Win Vista/7, but atm i am running Dualboot Ubuntu Linux/XP, so i am running the application under Windows XP Professional. (SP3)
weirdest thing of all, i haven't encounter this issue on my notebook yet...
May be issue Windows Update or one of the client updates???

The client has been pretty flakey since about 3 months ago, particularly if you alt tab from full screen.
Im hoping that these problems will go away with the new expansion, but not really expecting it.

I get unexplained crashes on all my machines and so do most of my guild.

Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

So the problem is caused by the game graphics settings?
I am playing it on Medium Graphics, with 15 - 45 FPS.
So it is kinda playable for me, since i experienced nothing else than lagging issues with this useless Pentium Dual Core system >_>

I'm going to need some more information from you about your computer.

Find out what the model number for your PC is. Check the documentation that came with your PC, or look on the back or bottom of your PC for the model Number.

Please tell us the manufacturer's name of your system too! (Like HP, Dell, Toshiba, etc.)

Next, go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista/7), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes:
    dxdiag.jpg

    Thanks!

I've had the same issue only my element client started to crash after the new expansion last week. Maybe maintenence will do something about it tomorrow. Another thing that I've had a problem with was a flashing black screen that would only occur on my Tideborn character. It's really annoying and makes gameplay pretty much impossible. But if anyone has any tips feel free to let me know. I'd appreciate it. :)

    I think it's a patch issue...
May give it a try by reinstalling the game + Your question was kinda off-topic about my posted issue ;) (Not that i would mind it... but GM's or Moderators may does)
