Yet,another "Unable to connect to server" Error

Greetings PWI Entertainment , im sorry to say this but well,my client seems to error,i will describe my happenings :

After reformating my computer,from windows Vista basic (where PWI worked alright) i have decided to install windows vista ultimate edition 32bits, about 6 days ago,and just now i downloaded PWI client with the new expansion pack.

After installing and veryfing all the files,everything O.K., i launch the game from the shortcut on my desktop and well,it starts,it says downloading "_ _ _ _.bat" where the "_" stands for a cube thingy,and then it says "Client outdated,preparing to update" ,gives me the window where i select Patch_2 and thik all 3 options,after that it says "Updating files... buff_str.txt" and it stays like that for 30 seconds or so,just then it gives an error "File download error, Retry?"

So well,my gf had it working on her computer (With Windows 7) and gave me the client updated,it starts ,it says client updated,ready to start,i start the game,select the server,and when i put my acc and pw it says "unable to connect to server" .


My computer is a Laptop : Acer Aspire 5315
CPU : Intel Celeron 540 1MB L2 Cache @ 1.86 GHz
RAM : 2GB DDR2 533Mhz
GPU : Intel X3100 Accelerator (965GM)
Windows Vista Ultimate 32bits.
Drivers : Updated to the most recent ones.
Windows hasnt been updated yet,tho,it has SP1...i dont believe updates would interfear with it.


Note : Im connecting via Wireless to my gf's computer which has the I-net connection and has it ICS(Internet Connection Shared) where everything else works like a charm.

Note 2 : I have already deactivated Firewall,Antivirus and all other protection software which could've interfear with it,even on my gf's computer everything's disabled,so....awaiting a reply with info .

Note 3 : Also take in fact that i dont see anything in the "Notice" window when launching the game.

Note 4 : When going to settings(In launcher),Computer details dont appear(CPU,RAM,GPU,OS)

Note 5 : My Version of the windows is a "lite" one which doesnt include chinese languages.
