Hi all,
Immobilizes target for 6.3 seconds 'level 1'
What good is this skill except for the Chi gain?
Immobilize for a close ranged fighter?
The target can still attack you, the only good thing about this skill is -
1. Running away
2. Chi gain

It should be changed to Stuns target x seconds.

Anyone else agree? b:surrender

If you're fighting an archer mob =P

All of the skills seem to work together in a way, just be creative and experiment....

    Lmao

For PvP purposes I was hoping it'd be a stun skill at level 29, I didnt bother to read skill tree lol.

I'd rather stun my target than prevent them from moving, why?
    Cause we have shadow jump.

It's so you can make sure your target doesn't run obviously >.>
It's helped me get a few pks when people tried running because they didn't wanna fight b:chuckle

Lol, yeah we have Shadow Jump, which requires 20 chi. If you don't have those 20 chi due whatsoever like you used a skill that required all the chi you had or Shadow Jump is just in cooldown, Tackling Slash might help you out by keeping your target where it is for some seconds+gaining chi to, if you need to, Shadow Jump again.
Ofc a stun would be better, no doubt, but Tackling Slash isn't useless at all in pvp.

ok, so you attack them, they run, then u teleport to them. After that do you expect them to stop running? You cant use port again till it cools down. I would recommend, sleep, then immobilize so they can't run, slipstream or bleed, then when they run again port and use a big hit.
It's too bad but "free to play, pay to win"-sckye

These "updates" are seeming more and more like downgrades.

Indeed, why do you think I want it changed to Stun.
    For 'Stun' lock purposes.

Immobilize isn't any good for close combat types, the only useful thing I can think of now is for archers, but if we had it changed to stun it would be more useful b:victory

    omg x.x

we get a skill that has ok damage and immobilizes the target for 6.3 seconds AND it gives you 50 chi and your whining about it not being a stun?

besides it is awesome for killing mobs that run away

the paralize is the best thing about it, i use this skill as my opener for pvp, cos not only dose it paralize for a real long time, the chi gain helps alot (i usally spark whilst in stealth + 155 chi skill + this = 2 spark stun after) but the damage it deals if it dosnt crit usally drops a squishy to bout 60% life. follow up with slipstream or rib strike crit and there dead.

it can be pretty useful actually. What your forgetting is that quite a few assasin skills have ranges of around 4.5 as in out of melee range.(puncture wound for example) So you can immobilize them then just back away slightly and unleash hell on them while they sit there and watch.

uuuh sorry for the late reply, mine holds (at level 5) for 7.5 seconds i think it is, which mean it will be 9 seconds maxed out.

Any kind of seal or stun is excellent for pvp, one that gives you chi is even better. Chi aint as easy to gain in pvp.

I'd use it on anyone trying to runaway or ranged mobs in pve like the annoying buggers in FB79. Rising dragon strike gives you 150 chi so coupled those 2 skills are worth 2 sparks. You also get another chi skill at 59. ;)

I've been experimenting with Tackling Slash and it works quite nicely against mobs with only close range attacks. You have some range over them. I find that if you attack them from behind, there's a better chance that they won't attack you back. But it's not too reliable since I can only do it 70% of the time =/. Plus a lot of mobs have both close and ranged attacks. It's a good chi charger nontheless with decent damage.
