Check and make sure that "elementclient.exe" exists in it's respective folder. If not, that's your problem.

If so, I may suggest running in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2), but others will have better suggestions than me.

In your PW root directory, there's a folder called "element". It should be inside that folder normally.

Well, I don't think you can play the game without that elementclient.exe file. And there has been several other posts regarding this issue. I provided a link to the file on the other threads.

Extract the file into the "element" folder, then run verify. It may fix the problem, but I can't guarrantee it.

    Good luck.

You probably have file extensions hidden. If it has the same logo as the icon you use to open PW normally, that's the file. It's actually "elementclient.exe", just like files you save in notepad are "namehere.txt". You just don't see the extension on the end.

You can search for it, but if you're able to run the game, it shouldn't be a problem. Mine is located in "D:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\element\" only because my main hard drive is actually "D:\". Wherever PW is installed, it should be located within the element folder. If it's not, then, something is likely horribly amiss.

I fix the problem when it says can no launch game just install the game again. What I did was install the game again without uninstalling it(i dont know if that make sense to u guys lol) but it work and i can play now. go to perfectworld folder and somewhere in there( i forgot) theres a icon that lets u install the game all over. so its kind of like u get the elementclient file back by installing it twice

Um. If the file's not existing to begin with, and you're unable to open the game, ending the process in task manager wouldn't even be possible, much less would it help.
