With cash you can revert the worst kind of fail b:victory OT: haven't seen any high level tideborns yet, because I did all my BH's hours ago.

    God, that's such fail.

It'll be funny to see them not know what their role is in a squad, not understand how to align their macro, and even look at their skills and go "Whut is that?"

    Tsk, oracles. People, people...

I don't disrespect the cash users/ rich people in this game. Even if they don't know their role, at least they can ask you : do you know their role ? Before you start flaming, I don't use cash and my Assassin is lvl 2 b:shutup

Not flaming at all, my dear.

Its fail when they "play for power" instead of "playing for fun". I do not have any of the new characters, I do not know what they do. I do know, however, that trying to oracle your way past your quests, your cultis and all that, you miss out on experiencing the storyline. You miss out on bonding with your character, on having fun with them.

If you wish to cash shop, by all means go ahead. I am not shooting down the ones who want to spend money on the game. But oracling through lvls = fail in trying to play the game for fun =/

Then again, there are just those who want top Tideborn bragging rights b:chuckle By all means then~

You seem to forget that some people don't play for fun, some people have other reaons to play the game.

I'm sorry. Maybe its my naive mind, but I really fail to see a reason in not playing a game for fun. If I'm not enjoying the story, enjoying the scenery, enjoying the people and my friends. If I'm not setting fun goals for myself, delving in challenges and having fun...

...Then I'm not playing the game.

But, as for highest lvls, I have no idea what the highest lvl is in Sanctuary. I know there are some TBs 15-20, but I don't think a lot of the Sanctuarians will give up on their hard working characters to play a whole new class. Not after all the dram and work..

    ..But, eh.

Its no lie that any will be in AWE when they see the fast high lv tideborns. Just this sort of 'awe' is pretty much on the lines of seeing something 'amusing' (like a clown or a comedian)

Many say its a fail way of lvling

Many say its just another persons personal METHOD of lvling so leave them alone.

99% of both sides will not want to include an oracle noob in harder instances such as warsong.

    Actions speak louder than words.

I don't play a Tideborn at all, have no desire to. But I have nothing against people who want to use Oracles for them to get high. The way I see it is, a lot of people have invested a lot of time in to this game on other characters. the lower level quests get boring and old.

So maybe they just want to get the new tideborn char up to the same lvl of play that their mains are at, and whatnot.

If they have been playing the game a long time, then they'd understand the skills based on their descriptions much better (one would hope, anyway) b:victory

^This. If I KNOW someone oracled their toon up, I'm not likely to squad with them. I would rather work with someone thats taken the time and effort to play their toon, and learn it as best they can, than someone who spent a lot of money and purchased their levels and has little to no clue what their character can really do.

And for you oracle nubs, don't say "well I played on another version and learned my class there".. sorry, doesn't work with me. I can say the same thing but it doesn't make it true.

new TB's.. don't even try that. The class/Race as a whole is brand new across ALL versions. We got it just a few weeks after the others got it in China etc, so that is a fail argument from the get go.

Anyway... Oracle nub = Fail player in my mind. I don't care how skilled you are. You still fail.

    QFT. Thank you Sai.

If I know there is an oracle nuub running around, hitting lvl 80-100 in a matter of days, no way am I joining a squad with them =| It may be seen as mean, but there isn't any way I can truly believe that you know how to play your character in a matter of days, know what to do when faced against certain mobs[ aka AOE, stun majors, etc] or even know what your role in a squad IS if you're 100 in 2 days. =/

There isn't anything wrong with wanting to not go through the lower level quest repeatedly. But people seemed to forget the value in those quests. Before the oracles, the "get High Quik" lvling assistance, and the "L33T gearz ahoy with one dollar", those lower level quest taught us how to utilize our ACTUAL skills. If you didn't want to kill a mob the same way over and over, you learned how to do it with a different combo that "hey!" actually worked. When you had to squad with others to complete your quests, you learned how to contribute to the team and what you did best in a squad.

It was the same for any BM, Archer, Barb, Veno, Cleric, and Wizzie. Why do the TB have to be exempt as well just because some oldies on the game don't feel like taking a trip back in time? Not playing for fun? Thirsting for power on a f2p? Oracle nuub? Fail.

Some people didnt actually pay money for their oracles. They instead, being intelligent, anticipated "Oh right its just gunna be the same old grind just a different skin", so they merched and bought as many tokens while AP was still around and transered them to oracles.

Yup. Both sides here have their points. If I could avoid those annoying low-mid levels (35-60) that have few quests and offer little in character development and quests, I sure would. Been there on several characters, done that. However, why someone would oracle past 60 or 70 is beyond me, as those are the most fun levels, imo. On the other hand, if everyone were using oracles to get there then that also perpetuates the problem one is trying to avoid in the first place which is few people doing BH29 and 39's and there being few quests, and fewer people to quest/grind with. It's really a no-win situation no matter what you do, so I suppose just go with whatever is more fun.

That being said, those who use oracles to level up are more likely to wind up bored of their character, faster. That's the essence of instant oatmeal characters. The bad news is you wind up with nubs in your squad who usually (but not always) don't know their class better than someone who played it through and through. The good news is, 90-something percent of those who got all of these oracles spent a good amount of real money on them. Personally, them offering oracles in the cash shop was the death knell of me spending a cent more on the game, but I certainly appreciate them now because there will be plenty of people buying ****-tons of oracles and their spending excess amounts of money is helping keep the game free for me. And while I said it was a no-win situation regarding the oracles, it's a win-win situation with playing for free.
