i was watching the vids back before the launch and was turned off by assassins because in the vid it took like 4 hits to kill the lvl 1 mob, whereas a psychic just threw the orb and boom it was dead.

i really wanted to roll an assassin for the prjected pvp value of the class, but if pve is going to be a chase, hit for minimal damage, chase fest (like with barbs), id like to know now so i can just roll a psychic.

    Everything isn't one-shot from what I can see, but personally that's not going to discourage me from trying out this Sin

    Eh.... from my experience that is almost always the case, at least at low levels... Wizards... one shot everything at first, then still have it a bit easier for a while. Clerics as well, and even venomancers. It's just that magic is superior to melee at super low levels.
    >_< I'm a wizard in disguise... you know like the old cartoon... except with less robots and more fire/ice/rocks....

    I'm level 18, and so far I haven't been able to one shot anything besides weak/sacrificial mobs. But, I've noticed that psychics around my level can't either. For awhile I was killing faster than most of the psychics around me... so.

    I've been able to one hit mobs at a comparable level to my assassin. I've had to use a maximized skill and get a critical hit, but I've done it.

    For the record, I was only level 6 at the time.

    It seems that the assassin may have to chase down some mobs, but there are skills that may make it easier. I plan on investigating this class a bit more anyways. It seems like it will be just as fun as any other class.

    Assassin seems really weak at first but as you level your skills become lot more potent.

    In most cases (so far anyway), Puncture Wound + Slipstream will kill off most mobs, and if not bleeding and a couple of auto attacks will finish them off.

    I'll have to see if sins will stay this powerful throughout, but so far they are true to the image of an assassin.

    yea im still on the fence, i think ill stick to a psychic instead. stay true to my mage roots. i really hate playing melee, but i also HATE the squishyness of mages. sigh. damned if i do and damned if i dont.

    keep me posted guys. lemme know how the assassins turn out at higher lvls.

    sometimes I one hit monsters.. with my flashy spin fire move(don't remember the name -_-) but that's only when I crit.....
    Rerolling a sin. Yes a 'sin' simply because it sounds cooler...
