Has anyone else had their virus software flag up a warning. I got the following -
File "C:\Program Files\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International\element\ElementClient.exe" belongs to virus/spyware 'Mal/Behav-024'.
Sophos cleaned the file and now PW won't launch.
HELP !!!! b:cryb:cryb:cry

Still no luck.
Have downloaded the patch manually and tried running it but PW still won't launch.
This thread keeps disappearing from the list and when it does appear most of the time i can't access it.0 -

time to get a new antivirus perhaps?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
i am also experiencing this problem and have found no luck i am in middle of reinstalling a second time.
do u by chance have webroot antivirus too.0 -
its false positive just ignore it...some AV's doing that0
-
so its not really a virus an i dont have to block it0
-
I'm moving this to tech support. This is a false positive that some antiviruses will give, as long as you downloaded the client from our website it is perfectly safe. b:thanks
Yeah you don't have to block it, just set an exception in your anti virus program if it gives you the option.

Just a FYI
If you have a program called online armor you need to deactivate it while installing pwi and patches or it will.....
A: If installing pwi online armor will ask for allow/block a couple of times, even if you allow every time there is something it dont like and will corrupt elementclient.exe usually resulting in a runtime error when you try to run game.
B: Online armor stops auto patches at certain files(usually data.xxx files) and manual patches fail while trying to install.
What i do is manualy download patch, deactivate online armor, install patch then reactivate online armor.
Hope this helps those of you that have online armor. It is better to remain silent and be thought the fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.0 -
b:cry Someone please help its keeps comeing up with "Could not luanch game"b:cry0

If you really aren't a computer expert do not get antiviruses that require general knowledge about computer software because most likely you'll end up to fiddle with the options and **** stuff up. Just get Avast or AVG Antiviruses never got false positives with them and its easy to use interfaces.0
