Oracle Complainers?

I dont know how you guys say people who use oracles to level super fast do not deserve it or work for it. For one, they HAD to work for the cash there spending in the game...You act like just because you started playing this game a year agao when the cat shop did not sell aniv packs or oracles flat out, that u deserve to be high lvl and others dont. I myself leveld from like 40 to 65 with the aniv packs. If anything it makes the game funner. Dont hate just because low lvls are raising in level super quick and are actually able to compete in PVP...

But there are people who level 1-10 manually, then 10-30 with Scarlet Fruits and then Oracle to 95+. Think about that.
For example, Wizzeled on Sanctuary. Oracled 87-100, has +12 Heaven Shatterer and +10 on all other items. If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.

I am sure if you had the stuff to do it then you would. If people want to spend 500$ on oracles, then they let em...just brings more fun to the game. :P0 -

Well it would grossly depend on the fact how often you played through certain stages of the game i think. If for example you can't be bothered to collect 50 noob knuckles, kill 300 water noobs and fly halfway around the world and decide to use oracles that good for you then.
Oracle grinding is just as legit as regular grinding, as it is an item in the game you can use to gain xp to kill a boss. But speaking from experience IMO oracle grinding might be a lot quicker but it is extremely boring dirtnapping the same noob 2000 times in a row. b:laugh0 -

Yeah it does get boring after a while but hey its better then doing a 45 min quest that will give u 40k xp...0 -
inb4 oracle hating flamers.
i really don't care if some one oracles or not aslong as he dont mess up on a run and get the squad killedALL SHALL FEAR MY WRATH AND MY.......SNUGGLES?b:puzzled0 -
lets go about this as logically as we can
some are mad because they realize they might've wasted a lot less time grinding or whatnot had they also had this option. i'll quote this player:I'm not against ppl choosing to spend thier money on oracles but It's not entirely fair, I never had the option to just buy my level whether I could afford it or not. The only option I had was to invest my time in grinding/questing and doing instances. Thats the source of my frustrations
it's kind of like running lunar for months, about to be the first on the server to get lunar gold rings, then anniversary packs came out.
some are mad because they don't like it when something unrelated to the game can affect someone's in-game status. you worked hard for your money, but some believe it shouldn't apply to the game. i worked hard for my money, i should be able to buy a bnet icon (you know you get a different icon next to your name after winning a set number of games) with money, does that make sense? that's how some feels.
then there's the issue of how much the game really values your time and dedication. if playing for a year in this game can be replaced with an item that lets you reach just as high a level within months, then some of the older players feel disrespected.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

good luck finding a squad oracle nub, or getting invited back to one. If you want to be an oracle nub, thats fine, its your money. This argument has had some many incarnations on the forums, if i had a oracle for every time i heard it, I'd be 102 by now.
i work for money v. i work in game for xp
nobody will every with the argument, and admittedly you aren't going to learn much new from endless grinding, and if you've already leveled a few characters up legitimately then you will likely learn even less. If all you want out of the game is to level up the fastest, then oracles are definitely for you. The argument that because PWI sells oracles and they are in game makes them a legitimate and acceptable way to build your character from scratch is false though. Just because they sell it, doesn't make it a good idea. You can buy snuggies, and hot pockets, raw oysters in restaurants, cigarettes, and get adjustable rate no income verification mortgages, and pet cobras too, but that doesn't make it a good idea to get them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
let me tell you something though:
especially since you're on a PvE server, part of the fun of the game is leveling up. if you don't think questing, grinding, dailies, farming is fun and want to skip the boring part, lols...then it's not going to be any better at higher levels. it's basically more of the same, except probably more tedious. the only thing you can look forward to is tw then, and that's no fun unless you have the money and gears, so you'd have to really spend.
personally i don't think it's worth buying anything other than vanity items on PvE servers...especially not oracles. you reach a higher level then what? level up some more? you heavily refine your gear then what? pk the few white names you occasionally see sometimes? kill some mobs? wait for PvP action every weekend and/or every Tuesday? all i gotta say is, if you're going to spend in general (not necessarily oracling), it's probably more worth it to do it on a PvP serverElena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

i think this is a "oracle nubs are people too" thread, not a "PvP is the only way to play, PvE is for carebear babies" thread, i'm sure finding one of those threads to post in won't be too challenging.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Yes. I'm playing almost year and I feel cheated by people using oracles. I didn't have this option. I didn't have option to buy everything in game. I was killed 1M time by mobs, when questing and grinding. Every new level brings me feeling, that I became better and stronger. Now some ORACLE NOOB will come and after 2 week he is higher level than me after 1 year of playing. YES I'm jealous. I can buy oracles with real money, but pleasure from game would disappear. When you will understand this, it will be too late, fortunately for you not for me.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Most ppl who orical dont go over board with it just use it to help out their progress. I dont always have hours n hours to invest in grinding and drawn out quests so if i need a bump to stay around my friends lvl i orical. And remember without ppl buying items this game or expansion would never have happened. So quit qqing about the ppl who keep it free.0

I agree althought im not as high as you admitedly.
Alot of people will by the oracle packs and we will have 90+ tideborns within a week and where is the fun in that? It seems that people are sooo low in self-confidence and self-belief they need to spend their real money to buy levels on a mmorpg to make themselves feel important.

I personally say "to each his own". If you want to oracle to a high level, skipping the learning/growing process that helps you to become a good player of your particular class, that's fine. All I ask is that, after having done so, you will kindly refrain from asking to join a bh squad, Forgotten Frostland, Lunar Glade, Rebirth Order, or my faction. Just generally anything that requires any sort of skill.0

The one thing you can do for free in this game is level. LMAO at the stupidity of those who would waste their money on that. Especially seeing how easy it is to get XP these days, oracles really are a waste of money. lol
Yes, and everyone in any somewhat serious guild will just lol at you for being an oracle nub.I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.0 -

Hmmm... what everyone is missing here is that PWI is not only about levelling... it is much more than that, and reducing this game to a cheap power levelling gizmo is pathetic, although I would agree that oracle noobs are a lesser evil than bots.
But think about it, orable babies, and decide whether you really want to be the laughingstock of the whole PWI community of gamers. Using oracles to get just a few levels up, while working on skills and quests, is, IMHO, acceptable.
What isn't is noob players/characters who decide they will make it from lev 0 to 90 in a matter of a few days, or 2 weeks with oracles. First of all, these oracle-babies are not doing themselves any favour... they might get the level, but they lack everything else. They know nothing about:
- their own class skills (if they even bothered to get them and if they did, with what spirit?)
- how to use their genies or are not even bothered with it in the first place
- how to deal with different mobs and bosses: there are different approaches to these, that can only be learned by encountering and defeating them and there's no way an oracle-baby can learn by constantly grinding the same stupid mobs.
- and a lot more.
Furthermore, these oracle noobs are not doing their squaddies any favour, because they lack:
- the necessary skills to help defeat bosses in different caves including TT's and BH's
- the sense of teamwork needed to work in squads
- the confidence that comes with experience and hard work.
Which, simply put, nothing replaces experience, not even hard cash. And building a character from 0 to nearly 100 solely on oracles is an insult to everyone.
You thought party wipes were bad before? I guess we ain't seen nothing yet...
Speaking of hard-earned cash spent in this game, there are many players here who have spent, over the last year, lots of real $$$ to tweak their characters to perfection, using it to tweak their skills and to become confident and reliable partners to other players... they too could have chosen the easier path.
So, to all oracle-levelled noobs, don't you go throwing your stupid insults on a community of real gamers, who too are cash shoppers -- or not -- because in the end, after all the so-called hard cash you're throwing in the game, you might still end up the sorest losers.
Just show respect for yourself and others if you expect any from the rest of us.[SIGPIC]http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff122/dart2005/PWI/july05.jpg[/SIGPIC]

Okay, but....we all know from PW-MY that this is how it works. No one could be surprised or shocked. Things are eventually released in the CS, packs happen.Quilue - Sanctuary wrote: »some are mad because they don't like it when something unrelated to the game can affect someone's in-game status. you worked hard for your money, but some believe it shouldn't apply to the game.
Still doesn't make sense for me. The game needs income to survive. So people....are mad...that money is being made. The game can't survive on fashion money, mount or pet money.
We have to look at this in a different way as well: how many people can honestly play this game all day to get where they need to be level wise? How many people might have full time jobs, kids, wives, husbands? What about them?Quilue - Sanctuary wrote: »then there's the issue of how much the game really values your time and dedication. if playing for a year in this game can be replaced with an item that lets you reach just as high a level within months, then some of the older players feel disrespected.
I wonder why people insist on having more and more issues with the CS. It is what makes the game run. End of story. Free to play is the reason a lot of people chose the game, but all that means is no monthly fee. I still cannot find one good reason people should dislike the CS. The revenue is what keeps it F2P. I'd rather spend money on the game buying things I need, rather than spending a year grinding just to get a mount, while paying $15 a month to do the grinding I hate to do just to get the mount, and also pay the $15 even though I might not be online very much that month. **** that ****.
It's not about instant gratification for me, but rather a game I can play getting what I want without having to spend a whole year getting a mount/gear/levels. However, I have only used 12 oracles, and those were from the only two gambling packs I got (pet packs).
I can't play a lot. I can't predict when I can play. I bet for some people the only way they're ever going to make it to play TW is oracles. I say more power to them. They keep the game going. If I was rich, would I do the same thing? I dunno. TW is not really the point for me. I like being a veno and catching stuff and hanging out with friends, honestly. The only push for me to level is friends doing FB's.
But all the crying over the Oracles is ridiculous. How many times has this happened now? Older players need to move on if they're going to continue to be mad over this. It cannot and will not ever go away.0 -
Like someone else said good luck finding a squad. There are certain things you have to learn about your classes that involve spending time figureing out which of your skills work best in different situations. seeing how oracled form 47 to 65 you probably have no clue what to do in higher end dungeons. Also if you work your behind off in a game to get rare items or to get a mass amount of coin just to buy an item but someone just gets it from the cash shop w/ one click of a mouse, you'd feel pissed too. What's teh point of playing a game if you can buy your way through it.I dont level Slow I just enjoy the game b:surrender0

I agree with you but those who buy their levels always came out with the same BS....
'Just because you have been playing longer doesn't mean u should be higher' (Ermmm re-think that for a second in most games the longer u play the better/higher you become so yes it does).
'I haven't got all day to sit and play PW so i should be able to buy me levels to keep up' (Then why pick a game that takes so much damn time to learn how to play your class and earn you gear (At least it used to)).
'I go to work and earn my money why shouldn't i be able to buy my levels' (So do most people on PW, CS or Non-CS but but u don't see the real gamers 'cheating' and buying there way through the levels).Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

I don't get what the big deal is...everyone seems hell bent on the notion that PVE requires skills. Speaking as a BM, PVE involves stun, HF, wack, wack, wack. Seriously, it's not that hard. PVP on the other hand, is a different story, and no amount of PVE will help you in that respect. So oracle or no oracle, it makes no significant difference.0

Being on PvE or PvP server doesnt make any difference neither players are better than each other some like killing AI mobs and some like killing other players. Ofc course it makes a difference u don't learn u strengths and weaknesses standing at wicked pirate for 18 hours a day, you wont know your squad role, you wont know how to play your char within a squad, you wont know anything except how to kill wicked pirate quickest, in fact u will just pretty much fail. However, if people are that desperate to make themselves feel good they buy their levels i wouldn't bother people just kill ya self, save us some party wipes, if your life is boosted by buying levels nothing will help you, simple. *hands sawn-off shotgun and walks away*.

i have one major complaint about SashaGray's rant, SNUGGIES ARE AWESOME. don't bring snuggies even close to the low level of oracle nubz, seriously. (not literally of course, as oracle nubz generally have higher levels due to legal cheating).0

You've got people insisting that Oracle "babies" are so horribly useless and unskilled, and then you've got people insisting that Oracles are an unfair way for cash-shoppers to gain an advantage over others. Those two arguments are mutually exclusive, so which is it?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Two thumbs up for PWI marketing team.
Who would not put oracles up for sale during a expansion release.
Oracling may be silly and makes some noob players out there but it makes the company lots of money and allow most of us to play for free.
So all the haters get out there and PK those oracle spots and enjoy that we can play for free because of their help.tatuaje: grinding mobs and zhenning ???
