Can't update

Hi there...

I know, there are two ways to update the Client. But both ways known to me don't work..

Automatic patching:
My patcher can't find the file "elementskill.dll" (Popup window "File Download Error - Try again?") This Problem seems not to solve since an hour ago

Manual patching:
Downloading the manual patch: http://pwi-ns.perfectworld.com/patches/manual/ec_patch_217-233.cup and trying to install it results in an Error message saying that the update files are corrupted.
Tried and downloaded several times...

Help?

    I have the same problem.
    And when I'm trying to update the game the installation box just goes away. I tried to download and update the patch as well but I also got a message that said that update files are corrupted. But Im downloading the patch in the sticky thread here now so I hope that will work.

    Ho Ho I found a way to bypass the problem.

    It seems windows was protecting 2 files.
    Get in the game folder > element, rename the elemenskill.dll and elementclient.exe to some other name. Use the patch file you downloaded, enjoy the game.

    I've had this error too. I've been trying since it came out its been 6 hrs of trying to update...

    i got same problem by many updates on pw.... it makes me crazy and my pc got anough space ...b:cry

    Wow I made a reply with a how-to to fix the problem and it was taken away.

    Just saying this: I fixed the issue and I'm playing right now. I renamed "before updating" 2 files, elementskill.dll and elementclient.exe, name doesn't matter. It seems windows was protecting these 2 files. I've used the manual patch and everything works now

    The game seems to be updating now, and I did nothing. Hope it doesen't crash D: or wait...

    I'm still getting errors -__-;

    manual patch says update listed files error, and automatic says Game Update Terminated Please click verify.... after i click that it says version verification interrupt QQ

    i got it? i mean i just simply clicked on download and waited 3 hours and it worked for me but i had to keep other windows closed in order for it to download properly on my pc. well hope you guys's can get the new update, i mean its amazingly awesome. b:shocked

    I dont find elementskill.dll and elementclient.exe in the game folder.. didnt find it when i searched for it eighter
    edit: found it! lol. If it wont update now I'll try to rename

    The servers might be busy with everyone updating, just try again a little bit later.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
