Weapon standby state and shields?

I think it would be cool if the character would put away the weapon when not in a battle mode(when not fighting something..). Like for example: a blademaster putting away his/her sword into a sheath/scabbard on his/her side or back. And maybe a choice of were to put the sheath, like on the back or the waist or maybe even on the side of the leg for smaller weapons like daggers.

I am not really sure about some of the magic weapons but I guess the staff and such can go on the back. The magic sword would also go into a sheath and maybe some wands can be fastened to the leg. Please give your input, especially on the magic weapon placement. The bow and cross bows go on the back of course and the pack of arrow should be there too. It would also be cool if maybe they like maybe bent the bow in half and then put it on the back. For the slingshot.... Does anyone even use the slingshot.... Anyways, I guess that can go on the waist or leg, but as I said before, give your input and i'll add it.

Another thing would is shields. I am just realizing that there are no shields in this game... Maybe it's because of all the dual wielding but I think it would be cool if you had shields. Available to classes like the bm and barbs. And there would be an option for the shield with a sword or an axe. There could even be smaller shields that go on the hand. They would be more narrow to fit the shape of the hand. And archers could have them on the hand pulling the arrow. And maybe one on each hand for assassin. But this all based on your choice and input. I am not to keen on the shields for assassin and archer...
I think I should just leave it to bms and barbs. By the way, the shields for bms and barbs would go on the back. b:victory

lastly, making an option for visibility of helmets and hats. That would complete it...

Tell me, where do i put these torso-sized dual hammers, then?
And, more importantly how much would it slow the game when multiple people are trying to kill things without being killed themselves in the same place.

Oh, and we already have something that can be strapped to your arm.
It's called Bracelets. I think it would look cool if they made some of them to look like strap-on bucklers, though.

A large or tower shield wouldn't bad either, even if its highly unoriginal.
It only needs to fit in the inventory screen and who needs some chat skin smileys anyway?

With the helmet I'd have to disagree. It would mess with the hairdo. And when it does, it messes with the graphich. Unless Your char is bald human, it won't look good.

yea maybe not the helmets... But a shield for a bm or a barb would be cool.
And I really think that a quiver(right name?!) to hold arrows would be cool. Hammers go on the back btw.
I want the Devs to see this. I wanna start a poll for this.
Am I the only one that find this cool?

besides, i think we are better off without shields, helmets and capes...
you can put your weapon in your inventory, if you dont want to see it

(like when your weapon has graphical bugs with your fashion set-.-)

In PW, that'd be..."Uses the divine power of the spirits to dissolve weapons into particles"?

Anyway, I think it'd be a good aesthetic addition to have the character stow their weapon when they're not in combat mode.

Bending a bow in half? Where do you see hinges on the bows? I've never seen any. And you know, bending a wooden bow down across the middle tends to break them rather often.

Also, yes, people do use Slingshots. In fact, slingshots are the best PvE weapons. Sinister Shooter and Wind and the Clouds are the best PvE weapons for their respective levels.

But it could cause some really serious clipping issues when coupled with armor and the wings. Would just look ugly as heck.

And adding helmets would pretty much make having any hair on the guy pointless.

I still think quivers would be good and you don't have to bend the bow....
its just that I remembered this other 'thing' that they bent the bow in and it was kinda cool, guess it doesn't fit pw... and slingshot can go at the side. you also have the option to turn off the standby state thing, not sure how that'd work.....
