Make a venomancer, keep it to lv 29 (use genies to keep it low level) farm hay from antelope pups. Sell it at night in a catshop, make sure your prices are SLIGHTLY lower than everyone else's. Watch the coins roll in.

S'true. Stupid quest for 50 hay at level 74 means that you can sell lots of hay for a pretty high price. (Not too high though, we can always make our own alts)

This works for other low-level farm items too - rough fur, oil and dull claws seem to work pretty well.

Buying stuff you see on sale cheap and reselling it at a higher price works too, or running dungeons a lot and hoping for a mold.

Why is staying lvl 29 a good thing to do?

That would only apply to a PvP server ... hit 30 and you're fair game b:shocked

Aside from that though, if you get more than 2 levels above the mobs you're killing, the drop rate decreased. So if you're targetting Antelope Pups for example (level 30), you wouldn't want to get higher than level 32.

Depending on your server, at lv 30, people can kill you. If you stay at lv 29, they can't touchh you and you can play in peace. Also, if you out level the mobs, you won't get the drops.

Your main character doesn't have to stay at level 29. Actually, at higher levels... the DQ drops are worth about 3-5k each if you npc them. Coin drops increase as you start killing higher level mobs. o.O

There are plenty of things you can do to make money.

    1. Farm materials and sell them in West Archosaur (these can be manufacturing materials or DQ drops)
    2. Observe how much certain items typically sell for. If you happen to find that item for much lower, buy it and resell it at its average price. As long as you don't lose money, it's a good deal and a profit is a profit.
    3. Once you get to level 60, you can start farming Twilight Temple for drops. Sell the drops in the auction house if you don't need them.

My main source of in-game income is reselling. Just be patient and be confident. b:pleased

making money is easy, i haven't spent a cent of real money, and i make over 100k a night by selling pet food, and other things in a cat shop. and that's on top of everything i sell to the blacksmiths, merchants, ect. also buying cel frags cheap, (under 1000 coin each) and selling them in a cat shop for 2k+ at the starting locations. iv made alot that way too.

Why make a Veno? A Wizard or an Archer deals way more damage and kills way faster. Makes more sense to make a wizard sense they have earth skills which are strong to Antelopes, would make more money b:pleased

Because Wizard's run out of mana ... either you stop to meditate (slower killing) or use pots/charms (higher expense). Same basic problem exists for the other classes - except Veno.

Between spells and pet, I'd say a Veno would kill about as fast as a Wizard (at this level ...). However, since pet does half the work, mana use is reduced. And if you level her to 36, you get Nature's Grace (restore's 23% of your max MP). Which essentially (along with Soul Transfusion and Metabolic Boost - when necessary) allows you to grind non-stop (without resorting to pots or charms).

Personally, I have a lvl 36 Veno, and I measured it once (everything sold either to NPC or in the AH) - I made over 300k in one hour (and no, it wasn't on a double-drop weekend ;))

Archers have to have arrows to do damage.. and that can get expensive.
Soltarr the approximate ratio between venomancer:pet damage is about 2:1

Yes, you're probably right ... if I was to spam skills. But typically (normal mobs) I only hit it once and let my pet do the rest - so damage-wise, pet actually does a bit more than me.

On the other hand, while my pet is doing that I'm picking up the loot from the last mob, moving to the current mob (ready to pickup), and targetting the next mob ... by this time my pet has generally done his job - maybe need to wait a second or two (during which I can cast heal pet if needed)
