You know, I know all the wizards out there asked themselves at least once, god did I pick the wrong class. With how insanely hard it is to level especially considering at lower levels we drop like lead baloons, but I managed to put up with it because I knew I was always hitting much harder then all the other classes. After finally getting 59 about a week ago Its truly amazing how much damage we can do, at a measly level 66 I am I solod fb19 (was a bit hard when it attacked back but just the right timing of pots and I did it). Now to the title of this post, as hard as Im sure it was to stick with being a wizard cant you just say that its hard to ever think about switching?

Though with the addition of the Psychic class...I may have two mains.

I wasnt thinking about switching either just want to know how dedicated other people get into wizards takes forever for them to get decent but I hate playing any other class (except a veno they never die b:laugh)

But from what I know about Psychics I may like them I dont know if I should try them out though

You know, I wasn't really privy to oracles and I didn't (and still don't tbh) have a great deal of coinage at my disposal, I haven't leveled fast at all- Kannon has been a marathon in which I must have hit several dozen walls starting at lv 27 with those ridiculous adawolf thingies, all the way through lv 90 when I was too broke to get the essential gears. But all in all the most rewarding, most beautiful things are those which have been baptized in fire. And now, I wouldn't trade my PW mage for any other class in any other game. b:victory

I'd say try 'em out. The only harm that can come out of it is not playing your Wizard for a while.

I chose this class when I downloaded this game because I love magic-users, and I like to put myself into the game. My natural characteristics always lean me to the Mage or strongest magic user.

Other than that, I'd say playing my wizard's been an absolute blast.

Good thing too (I prefer using Justice Quests stacked with my normal quests anyway if I want more exp)

I was lucky enough to have a level 37 cleric help me when I needed those blasted things

Same here, and because it was the second class my friend was explaining to me on aim and well I thought wiz, why yes I want to be a wiz b:pleased

And of the two other alts I have (cleric and veno) I hate them compared the my wiz. glad to see that there arent just melee's out there always saying how much wizards suck (Im so happy I didnt give in and make a bm or barb b:victory

At times, I grumbled to myself at how difficult it is to level on my mage than on my archer.

But there's always new damage on the horizon to look forward to. It is that potential that kept me going.. albeit the slow lvling speed. b:victory

I see no greater class pride than the pride for wizards b:victory

Wizards are much more fun than tanking and spamming Ironheart.

And Wizards are a breeze to level in early levels, you can kill monsters with just Gush->Pyro->Gush->Pyro.

Heck sometimes when I was feeling stupid I ran into a bunch of melee mobs, used a 2k HP apoth potion, and melted all the monsters with DB.

Because Bounty Hunter MADE it pathetically easy. Even at 7x I get 25% a day just doing dailies, back when Kris was 7x I only had CS and WQ. No oracles, no supply boxes, no cheap molds/3 star items, no cheap shards, everything was harder to do.

I really love Wiz, I have a cleric alt that i PK on but i never level it because she dominates at that level, I think that's why other classes get so boring. With wiz you pretty muhc don't get good at PK til you get sutra, unless the other person just stands there and doesn't tree/sw/pot/stun/1shot/etc.

I also think wiz's > archers for bh/fb parties just because they can compete for DD with an archer and still be useful in clearing. I have saved countless party clerics by using FoW and stealing aggro because of my high DD, and then kiting around with DS and holy path til the tank gets aggro back. Also if we have a tank thats not a barb, like a high dex BM or archer, they sometimes point out how nice the SS accuracy debuff is (at least the ones that know what SS is), my archer friend like to go all out in bhs because he knows I'll SS them and he'll MAYBE get hit ONCE before he kills it with only him attacking, and if the cleric is too busy to heal him i'll just pop off a sutra dew (4 morning dews with NO channeling, which mine at lvl 3 heals for 1k hp).

With a good tank, a Wiz can be the primary healer, I've done this with Fushma a few times, and another time me and another wiz easily healed a low hp BM after the cleric got 1 shot cause the archer got stupid. :P

    Wizs are an amazing class.

I m lv 74 LA wizz almost full tt-70 gear sharded with some +40 hp stones with, tok me about 4 moth of questing, grinding, mats farming etc etc(i dont buy zhen, i get all ingame).

I never thought about changing and never thought it was really har either. I guess it all depends on where u come from.

I came to pwi from another little game, older mmorpg, where wizz (it wasnt called wizz but voyager, but still it was a wizz) was hugely underpowered. Against another class, called crusader u lost pretty much any fight unless u had like 20+ thier lvl and twise as good gear. Crus class had ca 40 sec 100% stun, highest damage + stealth. Basicly they could be steathed sneak up stun u and kill u before stun run off. Only way to kill em was beeing lucky hitting in the air and nuke like crazy all over the place and just hope for a hit before they got a chanse to stun u, or be strong enough to survive a 40 sec stun.

Also leveling tok at least 4-5 times as much grinding at lvl 74 as in pwi + nothing like bh s. and at lvl 80 it was crazy much xp to lvl, .I had a 9x voyager.

Compared to all that wiz on pwi is easy and strong and fast to level and very much fun to play.

I fully agree with pretty much everything, and with sutra + dew (mine is level 6) I fully healed a tank with 7k hp Id love to see a cleric same level as the wiz do that much healing in the same amount of time, and yes force of will is very useful for giving the cleric the much needed time to heal the tank or give the tank the time to get agro back on the mob/boss when the stupid archer gets agro

And yes of course wizards are better dders higher levels because we do nice constant damage with no giant spikes from crits (since we have no dex = very rare to get a crit), and I really only know one archer I was in an old faction with since level 32 that is actually halfway decent and knows how to play the class unlike all the other archers that only picked it for pking and oracle leveled

"Yeah after level 60 when all the mobs use magic not physical attacks "

News for you even at 60's there are quest mobs which hit PH and Ranged PH so your statement failed. Example : Swamp Raiders, Rattus Archers, Kugulan Centries , Towerlings near WraithGates. At 80's PH mobs kinda make trouble for LA mages especially ( way too fat to avoid at least 1-2 hits unless lucky crit chain).

Now to the topic : gee if i wouldn't like my wizard would i even play it.

    Sorry bad generalization this better

After level 60 most mobs use magic not physical

(I know that is true there are a few phys mobs but I am running into a lot more magic)

Also the towerlings are doing MAGIC not physical I know I was helping a level 70 archer kill them and she was getting hit harder then me and wears la so no way they can be physical
