    Hmm... Well I COULD delete Noob or one of my other characters.

    Considering I have the usernames Perfect, Jeff, A, and a couple others at my disposal. Ahh the wonders of being the first to log on open beta ^_^

    I already have the name for my Psychyc taken by one alt.

    When I decide to play it, I'll delete it and then use it.

    Btw, about not being able to use the name of the char you just deleted, maybe someone just taked it seconds before you did.

    For example, my name. When I started playing PW, the nae Luen was not available, Uh. But, after two months, I just checked and then I could use it. Who knows, now was available.

    Maybe someone deleted an alt or something like that.
    Building one...

    I'm pretty sure of the reliability of this. One method I've been counting on is the blacklist. Add desired name - if it gets added, the name's in use; if you get an error, it apparently doesn't exist.

    Of course they can.

    I've do it at least 20 times. When switching low level alts to another class, or ones that I only created to extract Genies [since I haven't get a good one yet, and I want a 61 LP at least one]
    Building one...

    whats so hard about picking a name? if the name you want is taken, add some lines to it.like i wanted to name my cleric Lady Gaga but all the other combinations were taken so i did this LadyGaga_

    Personally, I don't like names with xX, Oo, _ or something like Lue/\/ or LuEn.

    And when my names are all used, just try to create one, and google it. If there are no search results, then the probability of being taken it's almost 0. At least. Aven if it only has a few dozens or hundreds of search results.

    But if you like a name like Sakura, for example, with thousands of millions of search results [if not more], then you will find hard to get a name, even if it has other word on it.
