varying pet experience

I've found my snow hare and frogling get less experience than my regular pets. At the time of this posting I and my pets were lvl 56 and I was fighting lvl 54 Aurichide Grimalkings. My snow hare was getting 10 points per kill with 863 loyalty while my crystaline magmite was getting 12 points per kill with 849 loyalty. I found similar results with a frogling and an eldergoth marksman. Is this because they are rare pets or perhaps because they I did not tame them myself?

    If your pet's level is higher than the mob's level that you are fighting, your pet will get less xp. If you fight a mob at your pet's level or higher it will get 15 xp if loyal.

    Thanks for the link, it's good to see those #'s in print. Let me repeat what I wrote earlier, all 4 pets were lvl 56 and the mobs were lvl 54. The result was very consistent and it is not the first time I've noticed varying exp. Furthermore, I keep all my pets above 500 loyalty and 2 of them were above 800 at the time. The link above does not explain the discrepency. As of right now all my pets are maxed out at my lvl - 56. Again it's:

    they have the same lvl
    they have the same loyalty
    they earn different amounts of exp per kill

    The only difference is that two of them are rare pets that I did not tame myself.

    I should also mention that all my pets get their 15 pionts of exp when the mob is my lvl or higher. The lvl discrepency only appears when the mob is lower than my lvl and appears to have nothing to do with my pets lvl, as I'm lvling up the frogling from lvl 9.

    Things go wonky if you're in a group, especially if you're not the only veno in the group.

    Other than that, if you're saying something other than the pet gaining max XP when the monster is above its level then I'm going to have to ask for some kind of proof. Because that's definitely not normal.
