a veno with no tame pet skill

my friend was doing the lvl 7 scared beast quest.When the beast poped up,his squad member killed it for him,he did not receive a scared beast pet egg but he kept lvling to 17.b:sad Mayb getting all the pet bag quest glitched him,because now he dont have the lvl 7 quest no more and he cant get it back.. which means hes a veno with no tame pet skill b:cry plz help

    level 17 is hardly a disaster to have something wrong with the toon. My advice would be to go ahead and re-roll a new veno now. and next time make sure all the quest items are picked up. of course, if the quest was not completed - it should still be in the log unless it was "trashed". also - has your friend gone to the pet trainer (not pet manager - I mean the chick standing beside the venomancer and barbarian trainer in lost city) and gone to the dialog option "tame pet"? Your pet related skills are not automatically learned, you must "buy" them the same as any other skill, but they must be bought from those pet trainer NPCs.

    now that you mention it...

    youre right. I forgot about that little detail. youre supposed to set the trap(s), put the meat on the fire, beast will spawn - get caught by trap. turn in quest.
