yea, I hate it too.. my actual entry was done in gimp with very similar tools in use. if I wanted to bother learning paint's new tools I could probably make it look alot better, seeing as how advanced it's actually become. I suspect with Win8 it'll rival photoshop in many ways, it's getting there now. Last I checked it did transparancy like photoshop too. (checked in RC build7100) I suspect I'm going to get flagged for cheating for whatever reason, but I'm no artist, I'm not even trying to look professional. only thing I can see is SP1 for the **** DVD keys, they're all over the place. I hope if they DO do a sp1 they fix paint to be more user-friendly. Photoshop is more friendly than paint now. i gots vista/win7 on dual boot and nao vista says its not original copy ....well np for me since i dun use it....also win7 makes my veno sometimes bald :P0 -
yea, I had a **** rtm (note I am using a legit copy now, I wanted to see if they messed it up before I bought it, I didn't want a vista repeat) and a rc, both did the same to me as well. It looks like paint to me.
The leaves can be copied in and rotated/scaled without a problem in paint.
The white dots, that kind of look like snow, on the white part of the stocking are done the same way, except without rotation on them, and pasted fairly arbitrarily, if you zoom in you'll see it's not a uniform separation there.
The ribbon lines don't look freehand (or maybe they were freehand with a graphics tablet)
You would be surprised at what can be done with Paint. Go check out some things on youtube that people have done with it.
That said, I do see one mistake with it, not that I can criticize much since I'm not a very good artist and haven't put my own up, but the ribbon on the upper middle right side should have it's colors reversed for shading. It looks inconsistent with the way light is coming in.0 -
Someone did the Mona Lisa on MS Paint as well right? That's what my friend told me, and it looked amazing too.
Yeah, Paint can do some amazing **** if you put enough time into it and don't start QQing in the first hour. b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
