World Quest.... why so boring?

It is what you make out of it. If you watch your character fly to each destination and wait then it'll increase your boredom most likely. If you surf the internet or do other things (I study or do work during my WQ) then you won't really notice it.

It is called World Quest for a reason.

What if there was an optional quest that gave you massive XP to delete your friends list? How about a quest where you have to not touch your character for 10 hours and you get 5million XP. BH is designed well as it rewards people for being active. WQ rewards people for doing something repetitive and boring.

It doesn't have to be the case. The BH experience can vary alot depending on the squad and drops you get. Sometimes you can get a mold or maybe you have a BM tank instead of a barb. BH100 covers 5 different instances too.

Running the cube can be a challenge and some days it can be quick and some days long and painful. A couple of weeks ago was my first cube run in hundreds of cube runs where I hit all 4 chip rooms. That cube run was memorable.

I am having trouble thinking of a single memorable WQ out of the hundreds I have done.

Personally I play other games by companies I'm not going to name during it... so like if I have the game running shouldn't there be more incentive to play instead of quests that take forever and don't involve actually playing the game?

Amazing. PWI gives a free quest, non-paying that gives 150k-300k+ exp just by flying around afk a bit, and now pple want even LESS work? And your on a PvE server for christs sake.

lols...me only died 3 times while doing WQ...and me do it every day without teleport on me basic aerosword. (me pass the time by doing routine patrols for bots and occasionally helping guildies with quests if me happen to pass by or close enough to where they are.)

Yes WQ can be tedious and boring, but like has been stated that's only if you just sit there staring at the screen for the entire quest. For me I think the advantage of getting a ton of exp for just flying around outweighs the boring factor. Getting that exp boost from WQ and CS has really helped me out since I hit 75 when the exp gain really starts to get slow.

Plus I usually just got to YouTube, surf the forums, watch movies, etc etc while doing WQ. Makes it go faster when you're doing something else at the same time.

well i like the fact that WQ gives me time to work out, make coffee browse the forums i just wish they put the location of the next npc in the green text

I have it all worked out at home, but it's not really a 30% chance of hitting any given room. Outside of the obvious for rooms 45+, there's a few patterns different rooms use for dice, and even for different methods of passing the room. Squad of Six is 17/17/16.5/16.5/16.5/16.5 for paying and 17/16.5/17/16.5/16.5/16.5 for getting six people.

You're also forgetting failures in some rooms, for example in 34 it's still more cost effective (though not time effective) to suicide if no one comes in than to pay 4 do alls, or 47 for some classes. And of course 46 which can be some great money. That can seriously increase your odds at chip rooms.

Anyways, on the topic of WQ... why is it so boring/long? It's a coin sink. That's why. You can teleport around and spend about 160k+25 minutes worth of coin you get grinding (160k teleport fees+208k lost coin in my case) or you can fly around for 120 minutes and lose 2 hours of grinding (1 mil in my case). If you can do it while doing other things, great. If you can't though it's going to cost you, either in preventing you from doing more profitable things, or your pocketbook.
