There's been a lot of talk lately about the expansion for good reason, but it's all become the same things in an endless loop. So in the hope this thread hasn't been made 50billion times, I'd like to see some new "tame-able" creatures to toy around with.

Kill-able is nice, Tame-able is better xD

What are your thoughts???

There'll be a new golem at least. Though I'd like a shark pet, a falcon/hawk pet (twice the size of the mount), and a giant land turtle pet.

They should just let us tame anything that moves that isn't a boss of some type.

And why does JP get all the extra pets? Isn't PWE/I directly owned by PW China? b:angry

I personally haven't done anything with my plumpfish since I've gotten it hoping that a better water pet will become available with the expansion. b:pleased

I would love to see some new pets around, not to meantion catch some for my veno. I did notice that theres a bit of a contradiction with veno's that I find sort of funny. As soon as you can tame the pop up says you can only tame things not infected by wraiths but most of the things that arent considered wraiths you can't tame and you can tame nearly every deathknight which IS a wraith b:puzzledb:puzzled Anyway, back on topic... I hope they have something good to tame coming up, I heard about the new golam but don't know what it looks like or if it'll be better than the upgrded volcanic I'm already using and I'd like to change up the pet bag too lol

Not as good? You take a small hit on attack (kind of matters, but not really), and physical def (will still mitigate the same damage percent), and gain a couple percent in magic defense, and a little in speed which is unlikely to matter (the same +.1 m/s you sometimes have on a volcanic vs crystaline).

On top of that you've got a bash skill plus roar for when aggro is lost, and tough. That's a better setup for low levels when you're less likely to customize skills than two bash skills (one of which people rarely use) and maybe tough. I suppose you do lose out having the skill be water based rather than physical, since it won't be able to take advantage of Ironwood, but skill levels would determine that ultimately.

It seems better to me. Plus it looks cool.

Edit: I just noticed the HP difference, I was going purely by the stat chart where it's sometimes hard to tell a difference in skills. Same level pets with a 54 hp difference. So it's got 1-2 more ranks in HP than current magmites. That thing absolutely destroys current ones in everything but damage dealt, where it should still come in really close.

To say the truth Sir, I dont care much cause I didnt look closely and use herc and nix so please do me a favor and stop acting smarta*s by telling me things I already know.

All the more reason you should look closely. It's all too easy with a herc/nix to get sucked into ignoring other pets which can beat them in some circumstances. This is potentially one of them, on weak enough content a magmite beats a herc due to aggro holding ability (for example, BH in the 90's... if you end up needing to kill Stygean to open the door in 79, or for someone else in the squad, the magmite is the better pet if you're covering the tanking).

You've got 10 pet bag slots (potentially), that's 8 non herc/nixes to get in the bag (7 if you use a second herc in place of a scorpion).

While the majority of pet decision comes down to stats, for at least a few of us there's always interest in filling our boredom with a new pet to test. Why? Because we just feel like it.

---There are things that other pets can do fairly well that have their own advantages and disadvantages.

Ex: Tweakz scorpion with claw skill, it is a rolling friggen nix that

____ a) does not get stuck in random terrain

____ b) has second highest attack of all pets at req. 0$

____ c) can be used in FF, and TT, in fact it'll yank aggro from every damn squad member

---I'd just like to see some interesting development. There are no OHT tame-ables and nothing to be found in the heaven or hell areas either with the exception of the fb 99 mobs. The tideborn zone is a regular map piece that can be visited by all players after some q line, and it would be nice to see that it holds to the standards of every other starting area and has something that can be used.

I don't see why not, though with the way it would have to balance out, it would likely lose hp, become slower, or lose even more def in order to have more damage capability.

sadly the new magmite owns the old one in every single stat

New Golem (or whatever it's called, I can't read chinese) > all current in-game magmites.

    Also, it's spelled "tamable".

When you're done with your skills and equips, it's time to refine. What else to spend coin on? At the level they're at, coin for it comes quicker as well.

Hmmm...are we looking at this "New Golem"??

I think it is called the Ice Rock golem or something like that. The one in the distance is a Fire Rock golem. But that one doesn't seem to be useful; according to the chat on the previous link.

    It DOES look cool!

Yes, we are looking at that "new golem".

Now that I take a better look at him, doesn't he look a bit constipated?
