This is an extremely hard choice for me, i like the looks of psy, they look like they will be an awesome class and fun to use, but i dont know much about them as of yet.

Ive seen a few skills but thats it, what i really wanna know, is i already have a mage at LV 30 but i wanna keep my user name, so i want to pick between psy and mage so my main char will have the name i want,

Does anyone know what class will be better in PVP/PVE? in earlier and later LVS?

thanks :)

Hey there. Both of these classes can be PvP or PvE, but I'm aware that Assassins will struggle a little bit with grinding. Bear in mind that they are the only melee class that uses armor weaker than heavy plate... They're all up in the monster's grill, but will only have half the defense of your typical BM, or even less. Grinding is difficult. Finding a group is difficult. They will shine in PvP though, and will mainly survive by essentially being Phoenixes in human form: spiking damage and killing opponents off with mega criticals as fast as possible.

I know less about Psychics other than they cast non-elemental magic for the most part, which is a double edged sword. Wizards can use certain elements against certain enemies for a damage boost, whilst for the most part Psychics cannot. However, this also means a Psychic's damage is not limited in accordance to the element of the mob they're killing.

I don't know how Psychics fare in PvP, I think this will be one of those things we'll discover in time. They will not be up there with the ranks of Phoenix Venos, Archers or Assassins, though.

they have more tha a few skills which can make them incredably deadly to others, including venos and archers.

Umm, Psychics use water and earth element spells for attacks, and reflect abilities that return physical damage to the attacker, which should be enough to know how to behave in PvP...

Again it all depends on how you want to play the game. There is no better class than the other, if that were the case everyone would be running towards one particular class. It's been built with its own advantages and disadvantages. I for one am giving up my wizard to go for the psychic not becase I think it will be better but my Wiz has gotten too expensive for me and it just so happens that tideborn came out exactly when I was planning to get rid of the wiz.

No harm in asking before. You dont want to make a build and then have to totally redo it.

Mages get incredibly annoying to kill at higher lvls, but Psy seems to b a low chan mage class but most likely will do less dmg.

thanks for the comments guys., yea i seen a few vids on psy, and it looks like its kinda of a mage/cleric class, i seen a few buffs and a heal and then a few attacking skills, does that mean we would basically use the same build as a normal spell caster? or if we went hybrid?

And do you think it would be best to go hybrid on psy?

Thanks again for the replies, hey it would be awesome if they brought out a new server for the expansion baha, guess that would get too costly :P

I think Dinny is wrong in saying psychics wont be as good as venos, archers, or assassin cause we have yet to be able to try it out. Maybe the psychic is ftw and assassin is ftl who knows. But the psychic does seem to have some very interesting skills that will change pvping. No one knows how good Psychics will be in pvp, we just gotta wait to find out. I would also recommend you choosing the class you think you would have most fun playing ^^

How you can compare character which even exist? Wait 2-3 month after release and then ask. Do you now weakness of psy? Or his strength? I think lot of people will be dissapointed because the have too big expectation.

I think the addition of psychic is very interesting given its nature of skills.... deflects, magic and healing/buff abilities would add new edge to the game

assasins too with the stealth / crit n drain life abilities and being a melee class thats focused on dex

basically if you like some challenge play them... there arent ne solid guide/builds yet to follow and it will just be all round excitement and test of your gaming capabilities... figuring out how best to play a character is all part of da fun in da gameb:pleased
