ok guys, i have some things to say.
First off, im not looking for sympathy
I did not take it, my friend did. I was with 4 friends, one of them took some stuff, all 4 of us got busted
i got a warning from the police, and am banned from walmart for a year
i am grounded, though i didnt do it, but oh well, im not looking for sympathy, just figured it would be interseting for all you guys to read, i dunno
I now know that i should never steal, because if being with someone who steals is that bad, then actually stealing mustbe much much worse.
figured id say something, as everyone seems to dislaike me now

It was my first offense, so i think 2 years in jail for a minor would be a little harsh, wouldnt it?
I do not expect any of you to fix it, or give advise, or anything like that

So can you please explain to me how you would get two years imprisonment for something your friends sister stole that just so happens to be an ice cream sandwich? That makes no sense at all, you cant be imprisoned for something like that0

I dont know how long you would be imprisoned for, but it is possible
This was my first offense, and im a minor, so i doubt anybody would be that harsh
The punishment depends on the value of what you took, if its under 5000$, then the punishment isnt that bad
It also depends on your age, wether your a minor or not
If I had done this a lot in the past, and had done something stupid like yell at the cop, it is possible i could have gotten jail time
I almost had to stay over night at jail

Um okay i dont know what third world country you live in but minors don`t go to jail full stop period. If a minor for example commits a murder, maybe even two three, they are sentenced to a Mental Health Ward (as they obviously need help with whatevers going on in their head) until they reach the age of 18. If their psychiatrist has proven through their psychoanalysis of said person that they were NOT mentally unwell when they commited the crime, they then go to jail. Saying you could go to jail is stupid, maybe you could go to a Juvenile Delinquent Detention Centre but you wouldn`t ever go to jail. My point is it couldn`t ever happen, trust me i know. In saying that i highly even doubt you went to court for said thing as they (the company) would`ve had footage of who actually took it, so you would`ve been let off the hook. When a child steals they get banned, at 16 they get fined, at 18 they serve Community Service for 40 hours. So don`t post a thread and discuss something you obviously know nothing about. and just so you know, i almost had to stay over night in jail(or whereever they hold people overnight or for a weekend)
i had fogotten my phone number(yes, honestly) and if my mom would have not been home when we got there, i would have been held over night, then seen a judge in the morning
