Unable to see glow effects and spell animations

I'm unable to see glow effects from weapons and flying mounts, and also spell animations and projectiles. It seems to be affecting only my wizard character; I'm able to see these effects on my other characters.

I've tried deleting the systemsettings.ini file and restarting, but it didn't resolve the problem. Also tried doing searches but was unable to find any answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Open the system menu, then slide the effects slider all the way to the right. There's 2 effects sliders so make sure you get the right one.

    Thanks for the quick reply; I've the Quality and Overall slider set all the way to the right, but still the problem persists. Weird thing is, the disappearance of these effects was sudden, one moment I was casting spells and next thing I know I couldn't see the animations/projectiles/glow anymore; only on my wizard character though.

    Experiment with all of the settings in game, and see what happens.

    Try running Verify from the game launcher screen.

    Try rebooting your system.

    Use the individual settings, not the overall one.
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    Have tried everything listed, but problem still recurs. Played with all the settings, ran verify, rebooted. Only affects my wizard character. Is there any other settings I can tweak?

    That happened to me before! Make sure your UI's effects are set like this.

    That's what I meant to say. I forgot it was under the UI tab and I couldn't check since I can't get in the game right now.
