    I would only do that if I was on the same server as Devoted. Then again she'd probably PK me for it if I was on LC.

    In all seriousness, though. I doubt my Archer will ever hit 92, much less 99 or 100. So just looking on the 89 skills and taking in account my Archer is a carebear, DPS is what I'd want. The best DPS with 89 skills definitively goes to Demon, in my opinion.

    advice to fledgling archers:
    Going sage is like drunken sex, at first she may look good, but when you wake up the next morning; you'll look at her and go WHAT HAVE I DONE.

    archers don't have many strong nukes, therefore they rely on mostly normal attacks in fighting with robies. you can open with a strong attack (take aim or deadly) when they don't notice you, then the rest is up to whether your normal attack is strong enough during your stun duration.

    bms have bad attack damage, but they have some pretty strong nukes in axe and spear tree as well as berserk weapons in order to spike really high. i mean sage farstrike is pretty much like deadly shot, just with lower range (18) and much lower channel time. they can combo some of their most powerful attacks in succession whereas we can only open with them.

    this is why attack speed and crits is so important to archers. if i don't crit i can only tick charm. 9x mages have stupid amount of pdef, even robies, and i hit like 700 or something **** poor. (wish poison had longer range too)

    After reading all these Heaven or Hell topics i just rolled a coin and went demon.
    First random skill i got by trading mys pages was Quickshot, then got other few skills and quite satisfied with my choice meanwhile.
    I really like demon spark increased atk speed. Combined with Quickshot it **** anything lmao.

    So, if I buy Sage book from shop, and I give it to this NPC, he will convert to Demon or what is all about ? And if NPC convert, what I need to pay...

    There may be more truth to this than what some are comfortable in admitting. b:chuckle

    That, and... if you say you're sage, supporting the sage route or going sage you'll feel the wrath and QQ of those who've never played a sage archer. Come to think of it, the game is too complex for anyone to legitimately say one is better than the other. The only way to truly understand is to look at the fine nuances of the skills, the likelihood of obtaining said skills, and the real in-game situations these skills are applied to.

    That, and I think the community here has done an excellent job at pointing out many of the errors and misconceptions of skills and skill descriptions.

    With that said, I'm not advocating or supporting which path is better because the question is extremely obtuse and silly. In the end, it is a play style choice with a conversation more often dominated by inarticulate ego clods than detailed analysis-- which only attempts to shed the light on the esoteric differences between the two. Your mileage may vary.

    ok so im lvl 78 and im debating on sage or demon. I've heard that demon is all crit and attack speed, and sage give an uber amount of base dmg instead of crits. so wouldnt you want to keep your normal crit rate and just hit like 3 times harder or whatever the increacsed dmg % is? i need an answer from some sage archers, and please no QQ lol. thanks

    Sage archers don't hit 3 times harder.. they hit 5% harder. Even less if you factor in skills or sparks.

    How much harder they hit depends.

    If you have 560-ish dexterity then your net increase from sage blazing arrow and sage bow mastery winds up being a 5% bonus relative to a demon archer with the same dexterity and demon blazing arrow and demon bow mastery, but the active bonus from demon stunning arrow sort of beats this passive bonus.

    At 560 dex sage hits 4.17% harder than demon
    At my dex of 473 a sage hits 4.62% harder than demon
    At 413 dex a sage hits almost exactly 5% harder.

    Man, if Asterelle only has 473 Dex, an archer with 560 Dexterity would be what, Wizzeled on too many drugs? Must be another one of those lvl 130 characters, me thinks. Or just, as I previously said, Wizzeled on ah-so-many drugs.

    I got my 560 from a mistake in my math.

    Sage n Demon are good depending how ya play n other factors.

    Sage +12Weapon vs Demon +12 Weapon. Sage would do more damage cause of the passive skills.

    But Most Demon skills are superior to Sage skills.

    Except for a few. Which still makes Demon superior IF ya get those skills.

    Im Demon, I kinda want the chi thingy everyminute. I would probably spam it lol

    Im only missin Barrage arrows n Wings of protectoin. ( i thoug evasion was useless n get the important skills.. now i cant find it LOL )


    Lots of people that came from another servers.. Knew that most skills werent available to achieve cus they drop in fb109 .. which ya cant even go to..

    So lots of people are sage.. n now they regret cus of the event n easy way to achieve those skills as demon.

    End game archers deal damage in order of:


    (1): Attack Speed
    (2): Critical Hits


    The demon path caters towards these two factors.

    (1): Quickshot (Attack speed)
    (2): Sharpened Tooth Arrow (Critical Hits)
    (3): Stunning Arrow (Critical Hits)
    (4): Take aim (Reduced Channelling - Attack Speed)
    (5): Bow Mastery (Critical Hits)
    (6): Winged Blessing (Critical Hits)
    (7): Barrage of Arrows (Attack speed)
    (8): Triple Spark (Attack Speed)


    It also gives better toys to work with:



    (1): Thundershock (Chance to stun)
    (2): Lightning Strike (Never misses)
    (3): Wingspan (level 5 winged shell casted with no chi cost)
    (4): Wings of Grace (Additional evasion)




    There are some sage skills - but most of it has to do with chi generation.


    Demon is one of the clear cut paths as it caters to method an archer uses to deal damage.


    We arent nukers - those are mages, clerics, and possibly psychics.

    We arent tankers - those are barbarians and possibly blademasters.

    We are high damage dealers - we deal exponentially more damage over time than any other class.


    To do this, critical and attack rate are key.





    In fact, demon archers are often soo proficient at dishing out damage that they often have to hold back to avoid getting themselves killed.
