I have gotten Sacrifice scroll in one of my Many Trips in DT. Also, I have a QQ bird as they are called. My question is should I give it;

Pounce, Claw, Blessing of the Pack, Sacrifice

Or

Claw, Blessing of the Pack, Flesh Ream, Sacrifice.

    Tough decision.

    I've pondered that question myself, but as I've not obtained that scroll I've never had to finally decide. The conclusion I reached however, was that the best course of action would likely be dependent upon to what degree the standard PVP damage reduction modifier applies. (unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to find that information without your using the skill...)

    If the skill can put out a significant enough amount of damage upon triggering, a 1-2 combo of Flesh Ream and Sacrifice (perhaps then followed by stowing the pet to bring it back to safety) may be enough that Pounce is unnecessary. Even if the opponent flees, the damage inflicted by Sacrifice and Flesh Ream, plus the DOT from the Bleed will ensure your opponent's untimely demise.

    However, it should be remembered that Pounce's benefits are twofold: it's one of our few stuns (and an effective one, at that), plus it enhances your Phoenix's attacks from 1.00/sec to 1.25/sec for 15 seconds.

    If Sacrifice's damage is as heavily reduced as most other skills, its applications will likely be limited to oneshotting squishies... And a Phoenix is already most capable of dealing with these targets anyways.

    Either way, I can't really see it replacing Flesh Ream's skill slot. So to me, it comes down more of a gamble between an unknown but potentially more lethal skill, or a well-known and useful skill, as you decide the relative merits of Sacrifice and Pounce.

    Just my thoughts on the matter. I'd be grateful if you keep this thread active as you mull your options, and let us know what your final decision is.

    Better off selling it imho. The HP penalty is way to steep and would only benefit you in PvP if that.
    Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.

    On the server I am on [Not Naming], from what I have seen only 1 other person has it, If i were to have it I could mow over people like the person who I know has it. Also, I do like to PK and I am in an Active TW Faction so yea its going to be used for PvP A lot

    Well if you can get a good timing on Lucky Scarab, Sacrifice can be a good skill but Pounce can compensate for the stun as well. Its basically a matter of opinion.

    i once taugh my nix that skill...****..
    it only hits about 1k dmg on a 9x bm, 1.4k on a cleric.

    How is the one on the cleric possible, When I got sac'd @ lvl 8x by his nix which was early 9x, I took 4k, and i was All Arcane. The Cleric you Sac'd must have had Plume shell on but still, Hmm

    If you do want to put another skill on your nix it should be Pounce (to replace)
    Sacrifice on one note, sucks

    It's not worth putting it on your nix, and if you have a nix without bleed = useless pretty much.

    I would absolutely try "Pounce, Claw, Blessing of the Pack, Sacrifice". If I decided I did not like my decision, getting rid of pounce for flesh ream is much easier than getting rid of flesh ream for pounce.

    sacrifice is only a viable option if you have 2 nixes.

    sacrifice + bleed = gg

    but it makes your nix more vulernable.

    so if you have two nixes, one can have the normal set while one has sacrifice + bleed + pounce + claw. Its kinda like a sniping nix. When a group is approaching you, you can send it out to make quick work of one of their arcanes and resummon your real nix to fight at close range.
