Two-Handed Swords

I was playing around on my blademaster and I noticed something that...well, not really bothered, but made me think a little. They have blades AND swords, dual blades AND dual swords. Why? They're pretty much the same thing. I was thinking we could get rid of half of it and add something new. Have swords, dual swords, and two-handed swords. Out of the three, sword would be the fastest and the weakest, the two-hander would be strongest and the slowest, and the duals would be a middle ground for speed and strength. Additionally, two-handed swords would look awesome in this game.

    umm. no they are not. take these grade 13 dual swords and dual blades as an example.

    notice any difference? if not...

    dual blades deal solid damage, dual swords deal spike damage. they have diffrent ones because people like to play different ways.

    If you want 3 different way then play an archer... BMs already have 14 different ways to play... let's not add builds in..

    I mean all magic weps are 1handed Id love to have a shield for some sort of extra def. That plus...but give the 1 handed weapons already implemented alittle more of a...spark? Since everyone basically goes for axes because of Dmg and AoE. Give them shields who knows, maybe people will use them to offtank or something. Just a thought.

    And on that note i think 2 handed swords would be pretty cool. =P

    Well i would say you would have to classify shields as a HA (LA at least) type of equipment. I can't really see a wizzy running around with a huge shield and peeking around it to cast stone rain.

    But now that I think about it, my plan would make the two-handed swords into the spike damage weapon. It would basically turn the weapon "clone" into a cooler weapon.
    Well i would say you would have to classify shields as a HA (LA at least) type of equipment. I can't really see a wizzy running around with a huge shield and peeking around it to cast stone rain.

    Shields would need a high STR requirement making them unsuitable for wizards in the first place. Unless the wizard would really want to be majorly gimped.

    That wouldn't be fair giving higher strength class's shields and leaving AA out of the new equipment. if they add shields they would probably make 2 kind's like the headgear is. but there is a reason they don't have shields. the game wants to be semi accurate. and in China, shields weren't common. this came up in an earlier suggestion. but i think it'd be cool to have a shield, could change ammo slot to second hand. then have 2-handed weapons take both the slots.
