Polearm or Axe/Hammer? and Other Misc. Questions

Hello all,

I'm a level 34 Blademaster who's just finished his FB19 and level 2x cultivation quest (yes, yes, I know...I'm kinda late on finishing all these quests). So far I've generally been using those Perfect Officer's Dualhammers from the supply stash, but since I finished my FB19 I've been using the Trial Scythe that I got (the stats seemed better). Now that I've (finally) finished my cultivation quest and can start on my level 3x skills, I'm trying to debate between going Axes/Hammers and Polearms.

My build has generally been an Axe/Hammer build (the one Lyndura recommended in the BM guide, about 6 STR : 3 VIT : 1 DEX per two levels). However, I have about a dozen more DEX than I should (for a while, I wanted to go Sword/Blade, but I changed my mind).

My playing style: I generally like to solo (one of the primary reasons I chose to be a BM). So far, I've generally been taking on one mob at a time, but mainly because I can't handle more than that simultaneously -- given the choice, I probably would like AoE.

I'm not sure if the ease of getting newer/better weapons, or their prices/difficulty of manufacturing differ significantly between the two skill paths -- would that be a factor?

Besides that, both skill paths look attractive, but since I've been reading everywhere that I should choose one path and stick to it, I think I'll do that.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Personally I LOVE my 3 str 2 dex every level build. Dex is amaaaaazing <3

If you have no intentions of ever using fists best build for you would be 6 str 3 dex 1 vit (or 2 dex 2 vit up to you in the end) a level. If you stay the way you are, you're just gonna be a high HP BM that misses a lot.

    Dex is very important
Navarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. Now she's fox walloping and purging over and over again.. all for a deep stinging, head hunting, wind pushing Assassin. Will there be inner harmony and myriad rainbows? But of course! Yuri&Lemon Find it on Fanfiction XD "Discovering Sanctuary" Chapter 2 is up ^_^

My advice is that you add lots of vit. This makes pve so much easier. I am a pole/pike bm so my dex is rather high, dex in the end does not make a very significant difference. Archers are the main concern for pvp and they can be taken care of using accuracy pills, the extra evasion does not make a significant difference either. Also taking into account that the games system of accuracy has many system flaws. I plan to soon restat my vit for my pvp build.

Don't bother with axes. They suck, you'll miss like a lot. Go with Polearm, or even better, sword or fists b:victory

If you are looking to aoe grind axes as your main is the way to go.

I recommend using a high dex type build.

    Fail.
He never said he was intending on PvP, which is the only place where pure Axe build without LinYun/CV rings/ Behemoth rings fail.

Go with Axes and Poles combo path, they're great for AoE grinding sessions.

    b:question Confused...

Just to clarify, I don't have that much interest in PvP. PvE is my main concern; AoE grinding sounds cool.

So from what I've been reading (lots of differing opinions!), I want to do a combo axe and polearm build, with skill points of 6STR, 2DEX, and 2VIT, or 6STR, 3DEX, and 1VIT per every two levels. It shouldn't be too hard to switch, as I'm currently at a ratio of around 10STR:5VIT:3DEX; I'll just stop adding points into VIT for a while.

Will I have enough Spirit to develop the skills of two different weapon paths at the same time? If not, which one should I develop first?

for fast leveling axe is the way to go, i would suggest to go for the pvp builds at late 80s
