Cannot connect to Update server

Alright, so I have been happily playing and enjoying perfect world for months now, and then one day, out of the blue, the launcher says "cannot connect to update server", and the box on the right hand side says "Navigation to the Webpage was cancelled. I have changed no settings on my computer,and have also tried turning off the firewall and trying to open the game, with no luck. This is not isolated to perfect world, star wars galaxies, another MMO that I play is having the same probelm. Does anybody know what could possibly be wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    i am having the same problem started about 2 days ago....please some one help me out. im only having this problem with PW and i have invested a lot of money into this game for me to just give up when its not working please help me out.

    Your antivirus/security program might have started blocking or throttling something in a new update, or there is a network setting you need to change.

    thank you so much...i am an advanced user in terms of computers. but i did not know about hijackthis once i found it in your links i saw some weird named things and deleted them and that fixed the problem thank you!!!!
