A tiny question...
So I made an Archer.
Great, I love her.
But there is something I dont understand.
You attack a monster and make 2- 3 hits.
Now lets say the mob has 200 hp.
You reduce them to 120.
But the mob reaches you and you lose power because the range is so close.
Now- is this intention? O_o
Should I run away now?
And try it again? XD

that be the 1/2 damage reduction you get when monsters are too close.

ehh you can just shoot it till it dies usually.

later on you get knockback moves and a few close range moves and a stun to keep them away.

Kantorek: Yeah.. you should try it. It's awesome.
Sihndra: Nope- not currently possible under any circumstances. Sorry.
LokisDottir: I mean...not haunting the forums, nope nope..
Konariraiden: You don't know what you are up against. You will lose.

The monster is here, has too much hp and I can only make a lot of damage when the mob is far away QQ0 -
Most archers say most regular mobs shouldnt even reach you. They should be dead before they get near you.I was early taught to work as well as play,

Eventually, you get Knockback Arrow, which helps a lot. Also, using Slingshots helps. If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.
Everyone wants to be different, but when you're different you wish you were normal.0 -

Hmm. which means that I did something wrong
Maybe I need more strength?0 -
Until level 19, you have to run away for a bit. It's not a big deal.
At level 19 or thereabouts, you will obtain Frost Arrow and Knockback arrow. This allows you to kill without getting hit.
If they do come close, you can use a myriad of up-close skills.

What level are you? Also... if you want more damage, you want more dex, not more str.I was early taught to work as well as play,

You'll want to either learn to kite (running back from monsters while you attack) so they don't kill you or get a pair of lower level fists and use those to attack when the monsters get close.
Once you get your weapon from your first dungeon, as well as frost and knockback, it becomes much easier to keep monsters away without getting hit.0 -

This is pretty false actually, even at later levels this won't apply unless you can keep Stun/Immobilize/Knockback chained.
It's best to just kill whatever your quest wants you to kill while disregarding half damage (or squad up with a tank or other DD if possible), then later on when you need to grind more seriously, find ranged monsters.[SIGPIC]lol[/SIGPIC]0
