You should max out Venomous / Ironwood / Heal pet / Fox Form / Amplify Damage asap. Tame pet if you plan to hunt rare pets. Try to level Nature's Grace / Metabolic Boost, Wood Mastery, Lucky, Blazing ... and all the other ones if you got free sp/coins to spend.0

I would say to max out the mag attacks you use in "veno human form". Most of the foxform moves really suck. some are good. but rarely any of them. I've played with the foxform ones. and I can say. the scarab moves are alot better.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
If I'm insane, why does that matter?
Making fun of me for being insane,
is like me making fun of you for being normal.

Veno 7x (Sanc.)
Veno 5x (Harsh.)
Cleric 4x (Sanc.)
Cleric 3x (Sanc.)

FF only sucks because CF relies on the MAG stat whereas FF relies on the STR/DEX stats. FF deals melee only.
If you plan on staying in CF (Caster Form), then you want to max your spam skill, Venomous Scarab.
Fox Form I wouldn't worry about because it only goes three levels and it is very costly. Don't worry about this one until you hit your 80s, when you start to consider Demon/Sage. You definitely want to max Amplify Damage and Purge when you can. They are two critical FF skills required for dungeons, especially in your later levels.0 -
It isnt that costly, since its useful to switch in foxform when you need a lil more Phys res to escape And also to handle Magical Res increase mobs.ChaoticLove - Sanctuary wrote: »Most of the foxform moves really suck. some are good. but rarely any of them. I just want to tell you that Fox Form moves arent that bad, you should try to play Fox Form with levelled skills then Some of them, hum imo ... there is 7 awesome moves in fox (/14 moves). Rarely = half ?0 -

Fox form skills which truly sucks: Fox wallop, Consume spirit, Malefic crush(agains mobs), Crush vigor, Stunning blow(agains mobs).. All other skills are great for Pve and/or pvp.0 -
Fox Form is more useful and used in PvP anyways. That's where it shines.0

I`m think at first you must up attack skills in human form (but frost and blazing scarad is a non-helpful skills, it must be on first level), up heal.
At last a foxy debuffs.PWRU Venomancer 73 off.
PWI on.
Russia: vodka, bears and some adequate people.

Depends. I loved Blazing Scarab for the DoT. Frost is a waste for the amount of chi it wastes and hits about as hard as Blazing. I maxed it at a later level because I could. I would recommending keeping up with Blazing, but that's just me.
Amp is helpful on bosses, no matter what level you are. Try to keep that one up. Purge you can work on later since you really only use it in PvP and TT. Not many bosses elsewhere buff up, at least in an effective matter.0 -

What is "amp"? If you sayed about debuffs i think like you. On this level (73) i up it on levels 5-6.PWRU Venomancer 73 off.

Amplify Damage, it increases the damage the target takes by 20% for so many seconds depending on skill level.
I suggest Blazing because there were times when I would be facing mini-bosses that I could only spam heal and squeak in a skill now and then and I preferred a skill that would DoT because then I could just reset the DoT when the cooldown had ended. It was a way to continuously deal damage without the ability to skill all the time.0 -

I leveled up Blazing because I used it to help generate chi (Frost takes a spark, Noxious is too slow to cast, Lucky eats a ton of mana, Venomous generates little chi, and Ironwood consumes chi). Figured if I was casting it for that, might as well maximize its damage. Nowadays I mostly use Lucky for chi (using Myriad Rainbow forces you to come up with mana-replenishment strategies). Lucky and Ironwood also have the best DPS* when you factor in cast time (which is better depends on your build). But Lucky costs a ton of spirit and coin to maximize. Blazing is 3rd so it's a good alternative. Venomous is dead last.
*Frost is actually first, but I exclude it because it costs a spark to cast. If you instead use that spark as a spark eruption, a single cast of Ironwood or Lucky will do more DPS.0 -
Solandri - Heavens Tear wrote: »If you're spam healing and have time to squeeze in a skill, Ironwood is probably the best skill to use. It has the same cast time as Blazing, generally does more damage even if you include the DoT, it'll increase your pet's damage for 10 sec, and you'll be generating plenty of chi to use it from the spam heals.
Ah, except that I didn't consider Ironwood an important skill until I around L65-70, so it was left at L1 for the majority of my leveling. It wasn't all that good for me then. On a whim one day I leveled it to 5 before going into FB39 and saw it hit Farren harder than my other skills. Afterwards I maxed it.0 -
Ironwood is a very good skill. I use it everytime. It deal good damage and make physical attaks more stronger at a longe time.
What are you name Twilight Temple (place where can drop green resourses)? On this dungeon i use this tactics: pet use debuffs lower mdef and pdef, i in fox form use amp (at the rollback time befudding mist-fox wallop).PWRU Venomancer 73 off.
PWI on.

I left blazing at one, but use it often as a "filler" in my macro chain. It allows ironwood and venemous to recharge.
I would level up revive pet. It gets your pet back on its feet faster in an instance when the **** hits the fan.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I maxed....everything. Every single skill. I use most of them often.Main characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
Sage Barbarian Malego - 910 -

Going sage is like drunken sex, at first she may look good, but when you wake up the next morning; you'll look at her and go WHAT HAVE I DONE.0 -

level 95 one man armies, since zoe obsesses so much over them, might as well level at the same time off of them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Fox Wallop slows channeling which gives you interrupt chances. And its chi cost is minor: if you have full chi and you do not use chi skills, you are wasting every bit of chi which you gain.
Soul Degeneration, however, seems to have no point. It keeps people from recovering during meditation, but all you have to do is hit them and they can not meditate. It does not stop monsters which leech health from leeching health. I have not found any uses for it. Am I missing something?
Also... Demon Crush Vigor is sort of like Sage Master Li's technique, except you get 100 chi half the time and every 30 seconds in combat instead of 50 chi all the time every 60 seconds even out of combat. I am not sure if Crush Vigor has other uses in PvE. Some day I am going to experiment on bosses and see if their skills depend on chi.
Malefic Crush's chi cost is annoying, but it can be a nice AoE.
Consume Spirit is sort of like a mini soul transfusion, but without burning your chi and with a faster cooldown.
Stunning Blow is great when fighting runners in fox form. Archer monsters do half damage when you are close and you do not have to chase them, and you can keep from having your pet run off into a crowd of monsters or even walk your pet over to its other side so when it runs you are not risking your life.0 -
My suggestion would to just max out the Pet skills and Venemous Scarab and Ironwood mainly, if you have extra spirit after that max out some of the damage over time spells.
Don't even get any of the fox form skills, they pretty much suck unless you're going for an LA, HA or PvP Veno.Don't stare at me like that, I just might like it.0 -

also, youll eventually need parasitic nova, noxious gas, and lucky scarab.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I see tons of venos who pretend to know everything using soul degeneration on mobsb:irritated
crush vigor has absolutely no use for PvE. except the demon version of course^^
consume spirit is only worth to build chi quickly. the MP stealing part is erratic for venos with high hp. consume spirit+leech = 30 chi. good deal![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I use consume spirit mostly when I'm in a squad doing some boss with a cleric doing regen aura.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Lucky / Ironwood / Venomous Scarabs: Your primary attacks. There is no reason why these should not be maxed.
Fox Form / Amplify Damage / Purge: Same as the above. Debuffing and amplifying damage is one of the main roles of a Venomancer and these skills are invaluable in bringing down a tough target in PvP.
Bramble Guard: Invaluable for helping a tank to hold aggro on targets / dealing a bit of damage to melee targets in a PvP situation should they get close enough to attack you.
Pet Heal (High Priority) / Resurrection (Low Priority): Max them. The more you can maintain / revive your pet the more damage it can deal. Moreover you'll need the MP low resurrect would take away for more DDing.
Metabolistic Boost / Nature's Grace: Max them if you have the coins and spirit, this saves you a lot of potion usage.
Summer Sprint: Fast is good. What more to say?
Parasitic Nova (Optional): Max it assuming you have the coin to do so. Dropping one of these in a TW on a debuffed WB and his team not only seals most of them (and thereby halts their progress) but deals good damage. This is the best of what little AOE spells Venomancers are given, therefore it makes sense to level this skill should you be doing any AOE grinding with a pet Hercules.
Noxious Gas (Optional): This is the last of what little AOE spells Venomancers are given, therefore it makes sense to level this skill should you be doing any AOE grinding with a pet Hercules.
These are the only skills you should even remotely consider leveling (aside from Soul Degeneration assuming you are going for the Sage skill's 20% HP reduction on the target). Any suggestions to level any skills other than those listed above are likely coming from a baddie.0 -

Soul degeneration actualy does work on mobs.... If you only have only one veno in the party, you can alternate amp with soul. Soul prevents the mobs from regenaning HP, and some bosses have a very high regen ratio, it is a little useful while you wait for the amp cooldown.
In pvp, it is great, cast it on a barb and watch as his pots do not work..... very useful when trying to break a barb's charm, since they will not be able to pot and clerics heal over time part of the iron heart will have no effect on them (the healing stacking part), the only healing that they can use are instant ones, and when was the last time you saw a cleric casting the insta-heal spells or people carrying fairy wines?
In TWs, it has the added advantage of preventing the crystal from regaining its life as well.
Regular crush vigor and sage version though, I cant find a use for pveToo often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.0
