Help! How do i use the shabby ruby shard?!

    Shards have three uses:

    First, you can go to a jewelcrafter and you can combine low level shards to make higher level shards. (You'd need three shabby's)

    Second, there is a daily quest starting at level... darn, is it 40 or 50? One of those, anyway. "Crazy Stone" which eats up low level shards.

    Thirdly, you can imbue a shard into your equipment. To do this, go to the appropriate craftsman (blacksmith for a weapon, tailor for armour) and choose the 'imbue' option. Drop the weapon and shard into the boxes, and they get combine to give a weapon with bonuses.

    To do this, however, your item needs to have 'sockets' - this is a random thing on most items (and a very low chance for most items of your level) You CAN buy 'socket stones' to increase the number of sockets on an item, but this is a huge waste of cash for items which you probably won't use for long.

    And ruby (or topaz) only adds to normal attacks, not to your skill damage.

    wrong crazy stone starts at 30 wich needs level 1 shards. level 41+ pepole need level 2 shards level 61+ pepole need level 3 shards and level 81+ pepole need level 4 shards

    And really, ur only a 10. Why would u waste the time to socket anything at ur level? U will change weapons like every other level until 20+. Keep it, sell it, don't waste ur time and money trying to imbue it.

    Theres no harm in being the best you can be, regardless of your level. I was using shards at lower levels just as much as I do now in my 60's. There's nothing wrong with wanting gear to be proud of.
