Level 66 Archer vs 82 Barb

And here's the catch: While traveling from Archosaur to the Swamp, I saw a level 82Barb in pk mode bunny hopping. I figured heh...Why not. As you can see he is 16 levels higher than me, However I had forgotten I had healer buffs from moments ago when I helped kill SilverFrost. Fair or not?
I do not duel players if I have buffs and they do not, But well I had forgotten about them. Do you think he should have been able to win anyway?

its a duel so wats it matter....on topic u was fully buffed...he lagged thats y he stood still 4 about 3 seconds0

Hmm well in my opinion, It maters a lot. For example without buffs my physical defense is 2763. With buffs, it is well over 5000. That's a big difference. In this duel I do not believe it provides a substantial advantage over my opponent, but I think it's important anyhow.
I believe he froze because I used a stun skill. "Aim Low"0 -

u did a good job, ur job...b:victory
but IMO that barb was kinda noob, and lagged a bit...
in the whole duel he just hit u twice...(wasnt using Blood Bath b:bye)
he used mighty swing and stunned u, then landed 1 normal hit and missed like 4 other...
and now comes the thing that made me go like b:shockedb:chuckle
he used armageddon when u were already 1km away, making him lose half his hp and 2 spark
after those 2hits u were already half hp...
he should have used ONSLAUGHT asap since is a dual gain against archer (range attack and evasion debuff)
after u got stunned, he could have used onslaught again instead of normal attack and then maybe arma...but imo he didnt needed armageddon to get u down, just needed to land some skills...

Seemed like he lagged quite a bit. Slow movements.I was early taught to work as well as play,

yeah, knowing the enemy is for sure an advantage b:dirtyb:victory
there are some videos on tube that shows every class skills animation...
then if u check ecatomb, u can gather more infos making u even more advantaged...
btw almost every class follows a pattern to maximize damage in respect of the class is duelling...u just have to get that and know how to stop it[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

he doesnt even know the effect of his own skill...
he couldnt miss his HP-refill skill, cuz that skill is SUNDER and is TigerForm-only (and he was always human)
he missed armageddon (which is the cause of most barbs defeats), that is a very dangerous skill
its like a kamikaze skill...
if it lands ull see big number and enemy on the ground
if it miss ull be half HP/MP, no spark and away from target (since ull be kiting)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Heh well it could have been me not knowing the name of the skill as well. I believe he said that, it was not recorded. I can't confirm that. So I will edit my post. Since I cannot confirm which skill he named. My fault.

Guardian charms do not work in duels... it will only go into affect after the duel.

:< I got lucky I think heh. Iv'e defeated many barbs though. I think the tatics are the same really. I start with Aim low to stun, Or Stunning Arrow if that misses the target. I then use Thunder Shock to reduce metal elemental and follow up with Lightning Strike since most barbarians have low resistance to magic it does massive damage. If you get chased of course use your Winged Shell sheild to absorb a few hits and possibly sneak in Vicious arrow for more elemental damage and maybe even Frost Arrow to slow them down and keep them away from you. Hopefully that basic method can provide at least one victory ._. it works for me every time so far heh.
