Heya guys, My first post on my "alt" ( which i pretty much consider main atm )
My main is the 82 Barb Bloodknight

I made my choice on 90, i'll go arcane. But now i need to reconsider my thoughts on what gear i want/need and how to build up my wiz.

My question here is what 90+ ( maybe even level 99+ wizzy's ) have on gear and what they are aiming for at certain milestones.

My main idea:
I'll be going TT90 green and TT99 gold path. I want to shard 50/50 phys/citrine gems, whereas i might even shard 75/25 phys/citrine and go all out of the grade of Citrine gems for the HP. i want to get all 6 TT pieces to get the +3 crit rate bonus.

I'm more the person on getting highest crit rate possible other then highest channel. In the future i do want to join a TW faction.

I know i cannot afford the rank 8 weapon as i don't cash shop alot ( just the ocassional nice present for meself ).

So a few AA wizards could you post some gears/builds what you are using that works for you? maybe i get some new ideas on how to build my own wizard :)

Weapon - Frost weapon or HH90 glaive

    Helmet - any 71/81 helmet with pdef/hp
    Top - HH90 green
    Pants - HH90 green
Gauntlets - HH90 gold is the best choice here, but HH90 green and past ones are okay too
Boots - HH90 green, replace them with past boots at 92, try getting some with hp/pdef
Cape - any cape that adds a lot of HP

Necklace - get a pearl, cheap enough and definately worth it
Belt - HH80 pdef belt, or any belt that adds pdef/hp/stats/etc
Rings - up to preference, HP/crit/channeling/matk

What shards you use depends on what equips you find, meaning the helmet/boots/etc. Compensate for what you're lacking, don't just throw shards around. You'll want to get your HP and pdef to 4k at least. What you do after is based on preference, again.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

I thought it was 4k HP and 2.5k pdef unbuffed
Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

Full 6 TT90/99 combination gives you an extra 3% crit rate. The problem here is that you gain enormous mag defense from the ornament, while most people use the pdef onrmanents, which do not give you the extra 3% crit.

    @ Mizuoni:

I already have 2.5K pdef unbuffed, and 4K unbuffed seems about right to get at 90.

Why the 90 glaive? The TT99 gold wepaon gives me same mag attack, but way better crit rate. Also it's the highest possible Crit rate mag weapon that can upgraded to nirvana palace upgrade at 100.

That's also why i want to go TT99 gold. Because with nirvana you get two extra modifiers, in which i can build up my weaknesses to be even with my strong ones.

Because i am LA now i have a cape of tauroc captain, which i will trade in for a pdef modifier cape with HP shards when i will go arcane.

Uh... no. 4k pdef buffed. 4.5-5k buffed is normal. Even at lv100 hardly anyone has 4k pdef unbuffed.

Are you rtarded? Arcane is SQUISHIER than light. you be lucky to get 3k pdef unbuffed and thats heavy cash shopping. 2.5k pdef unbuffed and 4k HP is your goal as a lvl 90 arcane wizard. At 99 you want 5k unbuffed and your pdef should be around 2.5k-3k depending on what gear you get.

Okay here i s a tip why do everyone keep on preseting to get one good all around gear when they can get 2 great specialized gear??

I have 2 sets os gear one is my fullTT70 (my 80 set is almost done b:pleased )

And one that is mob gear I have a set that has 3pdef multipliers and are all metal only (say good bye to clerics and archers for me b:bye )

I just switch according to need and in the case of a gank Ill switch to hlaf and half accordingly (I know i like to calculate and think alot tis why i picked wiz anyways b:victory)

trust me doing this will get you a long way both PVP and PVE wise go ahead give it a try.....

Hit like a fuller be hit like a lighter
    Is Back once more.

    Guess i am **** huh?

Now on the subject. I've been looking at the TT99 gold set and with that one i got way over 4K pdef unbuffed, excuse me for making a mistake

Anyways for the people that do want to know what equip i want:

    http://pwcalc.ru/pwi/?char=cd38313b69fe30a2

i already got two of the 4 TT90 green set so the rest will be farmed in a while. As you can see it's not all heavily refined, just to +5 and sharded with now very common immaculate shards. I've sharded 50/50 in this case and i think i will keep that.

    Any more thoughts?

Get to level 90. Level 89 takes long enough to farm what ever you want. What do you need 2 TT0- pieces at lvl 72 for?

This is not my main, i've made alot of coins buying and selling stuff with my main, as well as farming alot. I want to be prepared so that i can wear them the second i make it to 90. Refined and sharded

This weekend i will be starting GV, so my time to 85 will not be as long as many other at my level.

Lol at you if you think you'll just end up with frost and hh90 gear with 4 sockets. It's not even worth the money to socket them that much. HH90 boots are garbage and so are your choices for every ornament you have.

And no you're not going to have 4k pdef unbuffed at 99 unless you spend tons of real money on the game. I cash shopped 3 event equips now and everything is +5 with some flawless and immaculate shards in everything else and I barely broke 3.5k unbuffed. And that's wth hh90 gold sleeves and hh90 green pants... if you go hh99 you'd lose the 191+142 pdef bonuses meaning it'd be even harder to reach 4k. Unless you really intend on 4 socketing hh99, but yeah, have fun spending a few hundred gold on socketing alone.

This is what i'm looking for. I admit i'm not there yet with levels and knowing what to do or not.

As good as i know how to gear and balance my barb, i still have alot to learn on the side of wizard. I have enough time ( in the long run ) to 4 socket TT99. I'm the ocassional cash shopper, and it seems just about the same as you.

So as far as i can see when i don't 4 socket TT99 gold then i better go with the best combo of 90 gold, 90 green to get max pdef balance.

Kristoph, do you have PW calculator link so i can see what you are wearing? so i can research a bit more on the ornaments and which armour i want?

That's my char atm, though I don't have the tome yet, that is what I'm aiming for next to I just went and added it. Cape stats are added onto tome/boots.
