Why in most Bhs ppl leave squad just to get mold be4 any1 else >_< is so annoying

So... just because you didnt get the mold means someone "stole" it from you? That is under the assumption that there were no previously agreed terms for who keeps molds/3 star items.I was early taught to work as well as play,

This.. forget random squads, know the people you go with. We have a regular squad of people we do bh's with. Daily. They all know we all split wine (if necessary) and any mold that drops is sold and the money is equally split between everyone in the squad. What she's saying is that people fight to be the first to leave squad so that they can pick the mold up first. However; in order to combat this refer to above post. Even if there is no previous agreement and the squad is left up to random chance on who gets molds, the person leaving squad first has an unfair advantage. They should all stay in squad and truly let the distribution be random.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
If someone leaves the squad, they will not be able to pick up any items until the timer (the one for all drops) runs up. In that time, the rest of the squad members should be able to pick up all the drops. Well, thats what I thought at least. Thats really stupid. For all of the squad's for BH's ive been in. We always split the mats for the wine and the drop rate is on random so whoever gets a mold gets it. If someone provides the wine, the molds go to them.
I dont think that would work, unless everyone was afk during the boss except for that one person...

I don't get some people ^^
Molds are practically becoming worthless anyway thanks to constant BH's being run. A mold is just a virtual bunch of pixels worth maybe a few dollars tops. Even a tauran cape can be bought with 8 AH'd gold and an investment in tokens.
Is it really something worth being a thief for, and a jerk and a moron to others, and most likely permanently damaging your reputation?
I actually had a funny BH a few days ago. Joined a squad for BH69 at headhunter. After a few the leader also adds a BM. The veno immediately responds "Hey you're that jerk who robbed our mold a while back -.-" followed by an "O.o" from the leader and an "xplayer (won't name on forums) has been kicked from the squad".0 -

this is what I was thinking as well. technically the drops belong to the squad and no one else outside of squad - until the lockdown timer runs up (20 or 30 seconds afaik). so if someone leaves squad right after the boss dies and sees a mold, they're pretty much waiting on 20 seconds before being able to pick up the mold since they are no longer a part of it. Whereas the rest of the original squad can pick up immediately.
If they left right before the boss dies - I think it then calculates their damage in comparison to the squad -> if theirs is more, the drops are thiers - the squad is screwed. (you'd have to be a hell of a DD to outdamage a whole squad on a BH run). I'm pretty sure that's the way it works since I tanked an FB29 in my early 50's for a faction mate. I tried jumping out of squad right before the boss died in hopes to get them a better chance at good drops for being a low level squad that killed it. Not only did drops totally suck - they didn't get credit for the kill either. So I had to do it again for them, and the drops were better without me leaving squad. Still no mold though.
I can see however the following happening:
Boss drops dead - everyone races to leave squad in their greed in order to pick up mold. the "looser" of this race (the one left without a timer) is still "the squad", and the drops are all his - mold included.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thats nothing compared to what some people do. I was in a squad with another barb, who was acting like a lil pubent butt head. Well, we get to the last boss, the one I needed. The leader dcs and this barb gets the lead. He kicks me, but then I come "back by popular demand" (stolen from PWI anniversary pack page). But when leader gets back on he doesn't pass lead and just attacks wyvern. So we attack it, and right before wyvern dies, he kicks me out of squad. Didn't get the kill =(
(Tried killing him, but I'de used armegeddon to finish of farren, and almost died myself x.x)
But then, thanks to him, I made a friend who helped me find a new squad. This time we had a fb, and I got first 2 bosses before dcing. Oh well. Then we did bh39 for a friend of mine, who was also a friend of my new friend. My new friend wanted it to be free, my old friend wanted it to be random. In the end, everyone except me and my old friend voted free, since they thought there wouldn't be a mold drop. Oh well. We kill farren. Theres a mold: xeno's sledgehammer drop. And since I'm a barb, I managed to get it before the bm (my new friend). Hehe, he got mad that it was free. Wanted to duel me for it. Maybe if it had been kept random, he might have gotten it. But he wanted to get all the drops, which was why he did the bh's and fb's. Oh well.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

um, no. if youre in a squad, and kill something that drops stuff, if somebody leaves the squad nobody can pick it up for a while. i dont know the exact timing of it all, or who could pick it up first. but i know from experience that the people still in the squad cannot pick up the items if even 1 member leaves, whether they contributed to the kill or not.0 -

I have been on 2 BH's where the tank has left squad as boss died and watched him pick up all the items (mold on 1) while rest of squad couldnt pick up anything....i now only BH with ppl i know.It is better to remain silent and be thought the fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.0

A few days ago I wined an FB59 for someone in exchange for the drops. The tabber agreed I would get any drops I wanted, and put the item distribution on free. He also made it clear to the squad that I was to get the drops. However, at Ofotis, a Cuisses of Divined Beast dropped, and a random DD in the squad picked it up before I could. The rest of the squad confronted her about it, but she only responded with "I like this mold. I no give it" and "I keep this mold
", and finally logged. Nobody in her faction would respond to world chats asking to talk with an officer, and later PMs to her were answered with "I have problem. No speak english. Mold is mine ".

Though I did have a random squad last night for BH69. The terms I usually agree to are either random drops and everyone shares wine cost or "winer gets drops." We had two molds drop last night. No crying about who got the molds.
Squad with people you know and trust on a regular basis. It builds relationships and you learn the other's playstyle-which makes you a more effective team.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
