title says it all. seems like every time im squaded with people that dont know me there are massive misconceptions about the class wizzies clerics etc telling that im playing my class horribly wrong. comments like "we already have a tank why would we want a bm" or "dude fists are useless just stick to your axes" and my personal favorite "fists are weak you cant hold aggro with those"

so im wondering is it just me or have any of the rest of you run into these misconceptions/plain misunderstanding of our class

if so whats your persoal favorite bm myth

    Lvl 100 BM, max -interval, lvl95 Lunar Deicide claws, ~400 strength.
    He is able to hell spark nonstop, 5 attacks / second...

    Yup had the same in a 2-2 TT run.

    Got to first boss, so I unequiped my Swords and equiped fists...

    Squad leader: " Omg use axes or swords will your "

    Me: Explains the DPS of fists compared to other Bm weapons and classes

    <Skip time forward to last boss fight>

    Squad leader : " Omg you (me) are a ****** beast at DD "



    So yes sadly people have misconceptions of BM's as a class, well until the truth jumps up and smacks the round the back of the head, with a friendly "wake up" b:chuckle

    Dreamweaver doesn't really have that problem, it wouldn't be too far fetched to say we have more fist bms than axe bms LOL. We even have Lucretius who spent the first 101 levels as an all vit "axe is the only weapon I will ever use" bm, he just bought deicide and will never look back b:laugh

    I think theyre wrong. Im always bein asked for help because I am knowledgable in the area we're going in and know how to keep a squad alive.

    One time I got kicked for being too knowing of fb51! XD

    Personally, I love having a bm in my squad. Besides the suicidal impulses you all seem to feel constantly, you are the least squishy dds around, and normally are very good about looking after the cleric (mages as a class fail at this). One of the best squads I have ever had was me (cleric), barb, and 4 bms for a bh59 run. Nobody really got hit, cus there was a near constant stunlock on everything, and we could aoe everything in sight.

    Summary I <3 BMs.
    If you need to tell someone you how pro you are, you are not pro. Your reputation and skills should speak for you.

    Favorite opening line when entering a squad:
    "Hi. So, am I the tank?"

    BMs are probably my favorite dds around. They aren't squishy, usually respect and protect the cleric, and in spite of the seemingly constant suicidal impulses, don't get me killed very often.
