Hello, i would like to hear from other venos that don't buy gold (with real money) about how they got their nix or herc... So far i don't think that i will ever be able to get them :/ The price for gold from AH is too high and so are the prices for feathers and sof to buy them from other players :/ Seems so hard... i don't want to quit my gorgeous veno but neither be a high lvl veno without them :(

I (occasionally) buy gold, but have yet to buy a single battle pet pack, feather or source of force, and have no intention of getting either a herc or a nix.

farming high mats and tame the rare pets..
get all class ones and sell them for few mil b:victory
i was farming about 4hrs at day,to get 400 mats = 100 of each high mat,
which is 1.6mil at day if u sell them for 4.2k..
just problem is that if u cant play more then those few hrs at day,u lack with grinding, exp, and money..all money which u save up,store it on alt, dont use it for dailys or anything.
    good luck b:thanks

Or you can not worry about it, and enjoy the 95% of the content a veno can solo with regular pets anyway... And you can still use regular pets on the remaining 5%, as long as you are in a party.

Save coin, but do not stress over it, sooner or later you will have enough to buy one.

I got my hercules before gold skyrocketed. I had saved up a lot of money and I also had a violet lightning back when it was worth something. I sold the violet to get the rest of the money for hercules. Only cost me about 20 mil.

My phoenix was a gift, and I don't know what was paid for it. b:surrender

I got my hercy after prices went sky high, but I got a great discount from a friend so I got him pretty cheap.

Starting money for herc I got from gammas and reselling JJ event items. Rest was grinded and resold some items + cleaned my alt and main's bank. Turned out I had few million worth mats and herbs.

But as IceJazmin said. You can easly live without it. I even respect those venos more who are without legendary pet, cause mostly they know how to play well even without it. I got mine at lvl89 and only because I heard that you need one in delta. Lived without problems till then, got rejected only once and I really enjoyed that time period.

Save money, don't waste it on clothes and super shiney mounts, and work hard :)

I agree with everything thing here, except clothes are not a waste.... You need to look good while killing:)

But yah, dont waste your coin and you will be fine.

One set of clothes is just fine :P The best are dresses/one-piece clothes. They are cheaper, looks nice and you save money a bit ^^

Though... if you are arcane, then you don't have to worry, cause arcane sets looks nice. Some looks even better than clothes. If you are LA... then get a dress unless you want to run around in those half naked sets. At least TT90 gets better. it is almost like leather set :)

My herc was a gift (I had gathered half the SoF and then someone gave me everything! I gave those that I had gained already to a friend that was also saving up for a herc), and my nix is/was half gift, half saving up - 9850 feathers currently. Only a few more to go >.<;; Things that I've done include farming mats for wines, doing TT runs, grinding one man armies, cube of fate (I had a run of luck getting ecstasy cards!), solo FB runs for molds, reselling (much to my shame - desperate times, yo!) and loads of other stuff. There are plenty of ways to make money if you're willing to invest the time.

With gold prices the way they are, if you're not already rich, it is damn near impossible to get a herc or nix. Sure, you could gring and grind and grind, but don't expect to have the money anytime soon. And I agree, high level venos are pretty much worthless without a herc. Everytime someone needs a high level veno, they want one with a herc. Therefore, it's harder to find squads for TT, BH, FB, and Frost.

    I have a Herc.

    For Frost:
Most of the mobs are AoE'd in Frost, so pet is almost useless on them whether Herc or not. I've always used my Scorpion on the first boss which sometimes means tanking it. Not sure what level it can be done at, but I'd think around 85+. Again Scorpion on the next boss which really helps with the respawners that don't hit back. An Ethereal Inamorato or Celestial Sting works great on Harpies. Boss after boss I tend to use pets other than Herc (if a good squad).

    For BH:
I used my Marksman for Polearm and Gaurnob because it got hit less and freed me up for more dd/ debuffing. Unless I'm soloing (which isn't easily done on Polearm), other pets seem to have more usefulness on the BH bosses.

I wouldnt spend 90m to buy a single pet.. You can easily get hh armors/weapon (idk about hh90) you need and refine them to pretty high. You can also buy pretty clothes and shiny horses with leftover money.

I gave up trying to get nix. I bought ww piggy and use it as a nix (although it's not the best attack pet) when I teach him flesh ream.b:victory
Maybe I will get the nix when prices drop below 200k..
