is divine pyrogram worth it to be my fire nuke >_> i dont wanna lv it up til some1 expert gives me an advise.

    crown of flame and pitfall both suck as nukes.
    me just use it to finish off mobs if they have a sliver of hp left.

    it's only really good in sutra combos, because it has a long channeling time but a short cast/cooldown. u can actually pull of a DP - Pyro - Phoenix - DP - GS/SS sutra if u are fast and have decent ping. :) that's a lot of damage.

    I personally love devine Pyro^^
    Ive always levelled this skill when i could, ive always used it over my pyrogram, hence that skill still only being lvl2.
    Im only really considering maxing my pyrogram now so i have a good faster fire spell...But DP works great for me =)


    As for crown of flames, and pitfall, you should know by now they are pretty useless...

    DP was my main nuke from level 60 to 80 >_>
    ...then I leveled SS to 10 and now use it as my main nuke, lawl.

    At OP: Get divine pyrogram to lvl 5 until you have sandstorm, use it as you like, and then around 60 - 70 max it for sutra.. It's not that expensive.

    I have Dpyro at lvl 10.
    It IS your fire nuke, and opener against everything not fire before you have sandstorm high enough (so you aven anough range on it), and metal mobs even after that
    For stutra, I use Dpyro->SS->Dpyro->SR (haven't lvled my GS yet)

    Crown of flame and pitfal dmg over time extra is useless, as you've killed the mob long before that has done any dmg.
    So, don't even touch.
    They are good to deal base mag dmg for low mp costs though (if you only need some 100dmg to kill the mob, it's useless to throw in your strongest, most mp draining spel

    DP is great until SS is lvled up. The extra range until 84 made it for me a little better than SS. GS can be good also, but I was and I still am utterly annoyed and pissed off by the long cooldown of such an amazing skill like GS. If you're a LA mage is worth going with GS because you give it more time to cooldown since u need anoher hit or two to finish the mob, if you're a AA doing a shytload of dmg DP is better for you. Longer range , similar damage, basically hits the same time as the gush that follows.

    I tend to disagree. It was like a mini sandstorm for my lowbie levels. I only got it to level 3 before I got sandstorm though, so after that it was useless until Sutra.

    So if you have the cash, level it, but hold off on maxing it until 59 or higher. I didn't max mine until 75-ish.

    ummmmmmmm wow are all u ppl trying to mess this guy up or u not even wizards?! b:angry alright dude listen 2 me pygrogram bad. crown of flame good. dgram bad bad bad bad. gummy bears good good good.....o woops lol no jp but seriously pyro mite have a fast cool down but even when maxed(lvl 10) its dmg does not even come close to crown of flames. i no i no you all r prob goin to b dumb and yell at me but listen cof only has a 8sec cool down. and the dmg is waaaaaay better. this is my usal spell combo:

    ss>gush>wop>cof>gush
    (and some times ill throw in a stone rain to mix it up a lil bit.)
    (of course shet changes in each fite so i DO change it up here and there (fow) (bt) ect ect)

    but listen and listen close! do not and i repeat do not use pryogram. i mean its ur 1st spell ever..... y dont u just go beat em with ur stick while ur at it then u can b called a bm and written off as useless.b:laugh

    because pyro has a wepon modifier on it so it gets better as you upgrade your weapon, even after its maxed, also why would class that focuses on SPIKE dmg want a crappy Dot skill that does less dmg than pyro (i seriously hope you were trolling >_>)

    Because crown of flame deas BASE mag dmg, while pyro deals base+100% of weapon dmg+ a set dmg
    (DoT is insignificant, as the mob is dead long before that dmg has taken much effect, which is why we do not even count it)

    interesting...... well as of this time i offically stun *casts force of will* my rant that is up a few posts. im goin 2 get online later and check that out. i got lvl 6 pyro rite now and saw the damage around 680 and was like heeeell na. but ill double check

    Hmm, you're probably right that I'm wrong. No clue actually, I have to check that when I log on again, but that won't happen anymore today.
    But for what I can remember, it's 4-5k on normal mobs (though you're right about the defences ect, I think the best way to test dmg is on one of the lvl 1 mobs in citty's)

    if im rezin a dead thread me sorryb:sad but ive lvled my pyro to 10 and been using it instead of c.o.f. as i said i would and 4 the most part it seems to be hitting that same at round lvl 70 with my ancient arbor but im sure that when i finally get the rest of the mats 4 my tt70 wep it will b hitting harder and i rather do enjoy the fast cooldown i can just spam gush,pyro when grinding and it seems to save me alot of mp ( even though i went through a plat mp charm in 3 days b:cry, the only thing i still use c.o.f 4 is the burn debuff so i got it set in my secondary row and just click cast it. but all in all it seems that pyro has alot of untapped potential, id love to hear frm a demon wiz and see wat damage they hit with c.o.f. and i aplogize 4 my stupidity in my earlier posts lolz seems that pyro seems 2 pwn c.o.f

    Let me start by saying, I HATE DPYRO!
    It does horrible damage and takes longer time to use than sandstorm AND glacial snare. I maxed it for sutra combo but i am very disappointed that i did so since pyro + gush > Dpyro. The only time i ever use Dpyro is if i happen to be going against the few metal bosses in the game (which i use pyro > dpyro) other than that, get GS more worth it.

    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    I have both maxed right now for my level: DP = 6 and Pyro= 10. When I use DP (ONLY as opener, then Gush, Pyro) I get about on average 400 more damage than I do w/ Pyro (against metal mobs). I recognize that I am at a closer range, use a bit more mana and channel-cast slower with this approach but would be interested in hearing about other drawbacks that I am not considering.
