Dragon Quest - Chiu Niu - No exp?

Hi ppl, I did search forum for the question I have but wasn't able to clear it out, so ...

I've been doing this quest, heading to all required npcs , when i talk to them, they say "here's your reward" ... but nothing happens, I get no exp, no spirit, nothing at all ... I just wanted to make sure if this is normal or my quest is bugged.

    Dragon quest, as with many chain-quests, will only give you a reward for the final step.

    It's a pretty good chunk of XP for your level, too.

    Hi Vitenka, thx for the response ... I guessed that ... but it's quite confusing since each npc tells you "here's the reward" when turning chain-quest, but nothing happens lol.
