wtf? ok u have 2 choices:

Endgame barb, or endgame wizard...and end game is like 99+....

If you want high damage and decent defense i'd say go archer, but as for AoEs and axe BM would be your best choice, Wizards are the top of the food chain in damage, but really lack any defensive capabilities. Barbs are on top for defense, and they rock end-game just like wiz'd because they are the extremes, and 90+ is when you can compensate for your weaknesses. (Wiz'd get a TON of hp def etc. Barbs get a lot of damage)

If you don't want to die -> Barb <- few AoEs
If you want to 1 shot a Barb -> Wiz <- Ultimates are AoEs, a few others
If you want to dominate every class in the early levels -> Archer <- few AoEs (but the best sustained damage AoE in the game)
If you want to be support -> Cleric <- you get an AoE heal!
If you want to be OP overall -> Veno <- SKILLS?!
If you want stuns/AoEs -> BM <- The most AoEs, also stuns, a LOT




Overall my suggestion is:
If you plan on playing til end-game, you'll like Wiz, but the levels up to that will be REALLY hard unless you get a friend to level with you. The only reason im leveling so fast and easily is i have an archer friend that quests/grinds etc. with me.

I honestly think an axe BM would be best for you, they don't focus as much on damage, but the AoEs and the Stunlocks more than make up for it. They have really good defense, and double as a tank if a barb is unavailable.

Archers are absolutely best at lower levels, the damage output is insane because of high crit rates. They are DD oriented and have decent defense (a skill called plume shell will save your life on many occasions where many other classes would just die in the same situation)

Well, if you're interested in AOE attacks, you should roll an axe BM. At mid levels (50-60), you'd be AOE solo grinding like most of the time. Also, axe BMs have like 5 main AOE attacks (I think?), and 4 of them don't need a spark...

Whereas for Wizards, 3 of our main AOE ultimates require 2 sparks, while hailstorm, emberstorm and dragon's breath (the other AOEs which you won't use much in low and mid levels) don't require anysparks... But at lower levels their useless (to me at least) except for dragon's breath, your zhen (squad AOE grinding) skill.

PS: You earn sparks as you attack, in case you're wondering what they are =P

I one shot archers my level.. generally the person that wins is the one that gets the first hit.

Since you're new, ( not sure how new to this type of mmo tho ) you might want to roll another class. Wizard isn't a walk in the park for first timers.b:chuckle
