My only problem is that I need 2 logs.

I already have one but

I dont know where I can get another one.

Can I buy them somewhere?

    Purchase a Pickaxe from any Merchant NPC, then head out of town. Double-click a Withered Tree Root to "mine" it. Withered Tree Roots give you Logs.

    Alternatively, you can kill Prickly/Mutant Cactopods for Logs (it's quite uncommon this way though).
