    Nice find. The parts that I read are EXTREMELY accurate.
    I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
    Full of work and full of play-
    I dropped the worry on the way-
    And God was good to me everyday.

    Ha ha ha, very good presenation and very accurate.

    I liked the part of rich people killing poor and rich people using poor people to fight rich people LOL.

    The monetary part and the fairness were the most interesting of all.

    However, I have played MMORGs for over a year now and I have not paid the first cent yet. LOL

    No matter how hard you try, no matter how much resources you have, you will not be able to create fresh contents for one year's of gameplay or two.

    I disagree. Contents must be added continuously otherwise the number of new people joining the game will be minimal after... months? Also bugs must be fixed and listening to players is important to prevent mass migration to other games. Learning the reasons players move to another game is the key to keep them playing the same title.

    When I think about it, PWI isn't actually that fun. There's quite a bit to explore, nice graphics to gawk at and fluid customisation to suit one's tastes or desires in a character (great for role-play), but there is little productive (and no uncompetitive, although that's what some offline and all online or multiplayer games are about, competition) game-play that is considered fun and doesn't try to squeeze more money out of the player just to jump ahead or show off. There are things like the 'dailes', but even the BH now is becoming like a chore, especially when it's difficult and time-consuming to find a good team for the higher BHs....or team at all.

    It would be nice for a mix of both selfless and selfish content. One half of the game aided by or revolves around payment/money, conflict, gamble, etc while the other half actually challanges you mentally and encourages team-work yet is relaxing as opposed to stressfull. There you'll have a game that has (or should have) pleanty of paths/ways and options to compete in and satisfies the hard-core conflict seeking players and a game that also satisfies those who want to take their mind off the stresses of/in IRL all in one. Although there are more highly-competitive and conflict-seeking MMOG players than otherwise, it doesn't mean the second majority should be ignored....because then they'll have few or no online multiplayer games left to actually enjoy.

    Today's F2P MMOGs are becoming more and more effective at squeezing every coin out of every player that are able to pay, but forgetting about those who can't or want to play properly might eventually cause the downfall of such MMOGs. On the other hand, it will eventually filter out those that can pay and play for drama (and QQing) leaving those more 'casual' players out to find a different game to kick back in. Although the company gets as many paying players as possible and as little free-loaders as possible (thus more $ per person served (consider bandwidth, server capacity/lag and customers to help)), this may eventually lead to an inbalance (everyone is paying, but less are willing to do the dirty work by grinding and whatnot) somewhere. Even if it doesn't, the players will be seperated by richness so the more one spends, the more successful they become. This will make real money in such a game more competitive, so at least someone will beat the top player(s) by paying more....eventually the average money speant will increase as everyone's trying to beat each other via RL money instead of anything else. As a result, you'll get a game consisting of no one but super rich people.

    Most people will lose interest in a game, even if they're willing to pay, if it gets too far and the game stops becoming a game and just a money-flashing-fest or something. It might be a nice thought for the company for getting so much money, but calling it a F2P still after that will be misleading.

    Maybe F2P, P2C or "Free to 'Play' but Pay to Compete (or even do anything)" would be a better title at that stage? Once upon a time, game developers were game lovers and game geeks themselves. Now, they're dying out and the new ones are nothing but money-driven business marketers.

    There is a difference between a good and enjoyable game and a (financially) successful game.
