All-Class Pet Abilities

I'm NOT asking for all class pets to be able to attack, that would be intruding upon the abilities of Venomancers. I'm just saying it's kind of stupid that you take so much time waiting for your veno friend to get you some eggs, then you spend 200k that you may or may not have needed, or you spend like 500k on it at a catshop, and all the pet does is follow you around. It should do something! 200k-500k is a lot of money to spend on something that does nothing! I don't want it to attack, I don't want to intrude on Veno's, and a Barb using a pet to attack would make me look weak. I just want the pet to do something, like maybe it could respond to stuff you say to it, or do tricks. Or best of all, when you die it chases down the nearest Cleric and brings him/her back to you.

    Ya, genie is far from what I meant. Besides, I said quite clearly DOES NOT ATTACK. The attacking pets are for venos.

    You've got to admit that the pets not being able to do anything is a waste of money.

    You are actually very wrong in your statement of the pets not helping out in any way. I know many, many people that use the Elysium Fowl in territory wars to help from being attacked. it has such a big wingspan that if you sit under it, the people trying to attack you would click on your pet instead. But emotes for the pets would be kind of fun.

    Edit: The all class pets are meant to be vanity pets anyway.

    vanity is ok, but 200k is a bit much to spend on vanity. i just want the all class pets to be more useful.

    They could simply add autopickup loot on the all-class pets.

    I'm not against the idea. having them be cute and respond to stuff etc would be interesting. But as for the prices. We need to catch the eggs which for rares takes a long time with everyone wanting that particualr pet. The other part is how much it takes at Mrs. Zoo in arch. Thats where prices get high cause a profit would be nice. Specially if you spent 200k to make the darn thing to sell. So lower prices there would possibly help with the high buying cost. Either that or make a veno, lvl her and catch what you want for your main, alts etc. (I think the picking up loot would be fun tho . Have a lil inventory bag in your menu that is your pets. Maybe carry up to 12 items? )

    People have spent a lot more than 200k on vanity.



    Although I think it would be great for my baby elysium fowl to be able to do tricks.

    Well 200k is too much on vanity for a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I got my Baby Foxwing. Its just that I spent so much money and have nothing useful to show for it. The pets picking up items and having their own small inventory would be great. Responding to commands in the chat like on some other MMOs I've played would be cool too. One thing that would be great, you know how when you auto-path using the quest window, it doesn't always take you directly to your destination, just near it. Like the items you have to go find in Secret Passage. It would be great if the pets could sniff out the items your looking for. Also it could sniff out mats your looking for.

    I love the whole comment about the Pet tracking down the nearest Cleric.

    I just see a Cleric now, grinding away on some random mob and this All-Class Foxwing swoops down and picks him/her up by the shoulders and flies to the dead owner and drops the Cleric there.

    I can see quite a few pissed off Clerics.

    Or even this example. Named Cleric grinding mobs and 15 random all-class pets around him giving out coords of fallen owner.

    lmmfao nvm that, bad idea the clerics will get pissed. but really funny to think about! XD i can see it now, rioting clerics all over the world, most would be after me O____O, some clerics hacking the game so they can kill the pets. lol that would be funny if not for me getting challenge after challenge and clerics refusing to rez me forever.

    If they implemented that, I would hope they deleted every current all-class pet from the servers and multiplied the cost to get one by 10.

    The only purpose all class pets do (and should) serve is to be a decoration (and tick people off in TW/PvP I suppose). If that bothers you, don't get one.

    Doing tricks and responding to chat falls under the category of useless fluff compared to other things that need to be implemented. Pets able to gather drops should be available only through CS if at all, or else you are basically handing the venos in this game limitless easy to acquire funds.
