getting killed

iv been playing this game for a couple weeks, and since iv turned level 30. iv been getting killed by others constantly. they seen to wait till im in the middle of fighting a monster and they finish me off. or when im healing and not paying attention. is there a reason there doing this? or do they just like pissing people off...

    They have the ability to kill you, they want to kill you, and they are going to kill you. Or, they just cant kill anyone their own level so they pick on newbs.

    You could think of it as a perk on being on a PvP server. Its a free teleport back to town.

    yeah, thats what i thought. i dont like going back to town since i lose a nice amount of exp.. so iv been carrying around the res scrolls, so that doesn't happen. but its running my dry..

    You dont lose any exp when you get pk'ed. And, res scrolls dont prevent you from losing your exp (heard it helps a bit, not sure).

    oh, so if another player kills me, i wont lose exp by hitting the go to town option?

    Well that happens on a PvP server. They might do this for various (personal) reasons.
    If you join a PvE server, you won't be able to be attacked by other players. You do however have the ability to turn on PK mode, so you can be attacked by others and attack others that have that option activated.
    So if you don't like being attacked by others the whole time (at least up to 50-60), I suggest you join one of the PvE servers.

    No, you won't lose exp when killed by another player. However, you will lose exp if you're fighting a monster, another player weakens you and the monster finishes you off.

    You can still reroll. Levels 1-30 will go by pretty fast, specially when it's your second time around. Your character will probably end up better too, because of better money/spirit management etc.

    true. sigh, i guess il just have to do that. cause this is getting irritating. the only thing that would stop me is the fact that i just bought cloths for over 1million coins. took me a while to save that all up. :(

    That's a shame. Well if you reroll you could keep it there for whenever you feel like PvPing or if you stay just level as fast as you can. It's a tough choice. Sacrificing your time used in the char or sacrificing (temporarily at least) a good gaming experience. Good luck.b:victory

    thanks. i left my character in the pvp there still, and im on level 3 on a pve server. i feel a little sad now. only getting 3 coin per monster. =(

    wow, im glad i restarted. level 7 in a little over 2 hours. =) and my guy is much stronger now than my other one was at this level.

    Pking Noobs = Raging Noobs = Noobs get high level ( Also feeling sorry that level 30's getting pked by 80s+ = Them same Noobs that was being pked and now is a higher level Thurst bang them same high levels that were pking them = Hurting the Clans that pk low level noobs because in the long run them same noobs might would of want to join your faction but now they think otherwise and go to another faction.

    may me suggest you squad up more with strangers? faster killing = faster leveling. also joining a faction helps too. (o.O)

    well, im on level 13 right now. and i haven't gotten a good chance to play alot since i have classes through out the day. i tried the whole squad thing with my last character. but when ever i join a squad or make my own, the other members are bums and just go afk and let me do all the work. so i got tired of doing all the killing and getting only a small portion of drops, money, and exp. =p so no more squads for me. the only thing i didnt like about the pvp server i was on, (harshlands) was the jerks that will kill you with no warning. and with a few hits no less...

    ahh theres your problem....
    me would guestimate about 70% of people below level 25 are mooching jerks/alts of high level people who are too bored to play since they've made so many alts and stuff.

    so ya during the lower levels don't squad up since you kill fast enough and everything.
    me mean later on you should squad up.

    will do. thanks. im almost at 15 right now. it does seem to be going faster than it did the first time. and i only have one more class today. then i will have 3 free days. i should be able to get back to where i was by monday. if i dont stop playing.

    He wasn't getting PKed because of pressing the PK button on HT. He switched to HT after he got to 30 on a PvP server.

    Although it is a good idea to mention the button for future reference. b:cute

    b:sweat Yeah, if you go into PK as a nub and don't know what you're doing, you're just a bunch more kills under some idiot's kill counter. Some high levels are like that on this server too. (Especially in Secret Passage...)

    yeah, this is my first mmorpg. so i didnt know what pvp and pve meant. to i just chose the first server i saw. after switching to a pve i had looked at the help screen and read about the button. thanks for the help guys. =)
